It has been a few months since my incident and I have been hesitant to even write about it because I don't care to speak negatively - but I feel that it is a good thing for others to be aware of before going into a situation or relationship with Noll.

My mother, a high-level Executive at a well known energy company based in Omaha, was the one who referred me to the agency. She had used their services with great success in recent months and spoke of the recruiter with extremely high regard. I was relocating from Houston, TX to be near my mother in Omaha. What started as a seemingly great relationship with the recruiter, ended horribly.

The recruiter and I had been corresponding about once a week prior to my move to Omaha. She told me that there wasn't much that she could do until I arrived and interviewed with her - which I completely understood. I made the move to Omaha, NE and the very next day I interviewed with her. The interview went seemingly well. She stayed in contact relatively often - about once a week. Then after she wasn't able to place me where we had planned on placing me, the contact stopped. It had been close to a month and a half that I had been in Omaha and had been really relying on Noll to assist in my job placement - which was probably my fault, I should have explored more options sooner. I saw a position online that I believed I was qualified for and started trying to correspond with the recruiter again (the position closed in 3 days). First day, I called and left a message - no response. Second day, called again left a message for the recruiter and her assistant - no response. Third day, last day to be "open" called 3 times didn't leave messages. 1-right as they opened, 2-at noon trying to catch her before lunch, and 3-10 min before they closed. I get a call back the following Monday and her tone had completely changed with me. She was extremely upset with me for calling her - MY RECRUITER!! Before I even had a chance to speak about why I was actually calling her, she says she has no news for me about the other position I had previously applied for and to stop calling her so often. The words that stick with me to this day were, "the other recruiters are going to think you are crazy and they aren't going to want to work with you" word-for-word EXACTLY as she said them to me. The statement threw me, I had never been called crazy by anyone, let alone a recruiter. But her statement actually brings up more of a different issue - how would any other recruiter know that I was calling you or that I was "crazy", unless you were speaking negatively about me to the other recruiters? HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Also, so you know I have been calling, but you chose to not give me the courtesy of a 5 min call back. She told me she and her assistant had been way too busy to give me a call back or even a quick response email. In Houston I supported 4 Vice Presidents previously at AT&T. I was always busy as well, but anyone that had ever sent an email to me or called, I made a point to call back. Anyway, I tell her the reason for my call was actually about another position that I had seen available online and I thought I may be qualified for. She responds in the same tone as if I am just a huge waste of her time and we end the conversation.

I told my mother about the situation and she vowed to never use Noll in the future because of how I was treated. I worked with Hemphill Staffing (Steve Guenther) and Celebrity Staff (Pam Hickey) and both individuals were phenomenal - I would highly recommend both. Neither company ended up placing me because I found a position on my own shortly after the incident with Noll, but they were always exceedingly professional, warm and welcoming of my presence and even called after I started my position to make sure I was happy where I was. If I ever need placement in the future, I will use both again. No staffing agency should ever make you feel like a burden.

ADD: Since this incident, Noll reached out and was very apologetic about the situation, which I appreciated.
