Was taking medication for a couple of years and refilling the Rx monthly with no issue. Suddenly, after trying to refill that Rx, I'm told I need doctor's permission for a refill. No big deal. I wait for 24 hours without hearing anything, so I've already missed a dose. The next day, I call Amita and leave a voicemail explaining that I am in desperate need of this medication and that I am completely out. To my surprise, I get a return call a few hours later telling me that my doctor has left the practice! I had no idea, and if I hadn't called about needing more of this medication, I still wouldn't know. What's more, the next available appointment with a different doctor wasn't for another 10 days. The withdrawal effects from this medication take 2-3 days before they are unbearable. Finally, I get them to agree to "try" to approve an emergency Rx so that I can get enough of the medication to tide me over until then. Fortunately, after only 2 missed doses, I'm told that my Rx is ready. Turns out that Amita sent the Rx to the Walgreens near my previous address after I SPECIFICALLY made sure to tell them otherwise.

EXTREMELY frustrated with their complete lack of communication and regard for my well-being, and their carelessness in not even being able to send a Rx to the correct pharmacy after being told specifically which one to send it to. I have not had experience with other behavioral health practices, but this is definitely not one I would recommend. This is a fairly high dose of medication that I have been taking every day for years, and suddenly going 2/3 days without it was incredibly unpleasant.
