Haven't even moved in and already experiencing pro...

Haven't even moved in and already experiencing problems. I was told by office employees that my first months rent wasn't due until I moved in and low and behold I wake up today with a text message saying my rent was due the first and I had been charge with $45 in late fees. It doesn't make any sense that I would have to pay for an apartment that I am not allowed to move into. I wouldn't be surprised if they charge me for electricity and water for the time the apartment was vacant since apparently they can charge me rent for when it was vacant.
