Iya Oyo Amala

Iya Oyo Amala

Saturday afternoons are for amala!

Iya Oyo is one place NO one should sleep on, with a thousand naira or less you will be full. It s a bukka known for its delicious amala, gbegiri and ewedu delicacy (rice and stew with beans or plantain is also available here).

On entering the building you ll have to queue for your meal (irrespective of status), point to specific protein you ll want to have with your meal, then pay for your meal. There s ample sitting space (you can also eat out).

What I ate -
3 wraps of Amala - 300
2 pieces of meat - 200
1 Pomo - 100
1 fish - 200
1 bottle of Fanta - 100
Total - 900

After my meal I couldn t move I was happy and fulfilled. If you pay a visit to Iya Oyo between 12pm - 2pm be prepared to meet a long queue (peak period), it s worth the wait tho.
