Up until August i would give this hotel a 5. Now i am giving it a 1. Understand this 1 is aimed at the new management that took over. We lost our apt. in Feb. We stayed at this hotel from that time until the end of August. The former manager was a kind, caring person. He gave us a good rate because we were staying long term until we found a new place to live. It was great there. The staff were all kind and helpful. The breakfast was great. It was clean, safe and comfortable. Then new management came in and moved the manager to a new hotel. I came up to the desk to pay for the next few days through Sunday. The new manager came running out of the back room and quite loudly, in front of 5 staff people and quite a few people staying in the hotel who were in the lobby, said "NO, only let her pay through Saturday." Then she loiked at me and said "Sunday you need to leave". I told her we had nowhere to go. She shrugged and said we had to leave.
We had to scramble to find someone to hel us move our things and find a hotel that was as low in cost as possible and accepted pets. This place we had to go in costs a lot more, has no breakfast and has quite a few seedy people. So here i am a grandmother with my two Granddaughters stuck here because of her that manager. When we were there, we cleaned our own room. Vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom with lysol on my knees. I even came out during one breakfast when one employee was no where to be found, so i washed my hands, put on rubber gloves and filled in all the empty food people were complaining about. For all that i was treated with total disregard. If they wanted long term people with lower rates to leave, we were among at least 5 other families staying there for similar reasons, she could have politely introduced herself, explained why and gave us time and help to move elsewhere. That would have been the decent thing to do. So the hotel is nice, i assume the staff is too. But the person running the hotel....not so much. I feel it's important to let people know.
