The YMCA Training Inc of Boston is a nonprofit, of...

The YMCA Training Inc of Boston is a nonprofit, office training program, which first started in in Africa, and other impoverished communities making its way to Chicago Illinois in the 80's where it received a new name.
The program went through modifications and was then expanded through franchising after 2 very wealthy investors , invested a lot of money into the expansion . Like any franchise, you pay for their training on an individual and as a business for a fee and purchase naming rights, and the curriculum.
This program was originally geared towards low-income , single moms, in particular minority and new female immigrants from impoverished nations.
The Boston chapter of this franchise takes $6,200 per student in government grant money from multiple agencies that work with impoverished minority groups and is a section 30-approved placement ,which means if you are on unemployment in the city of Boston, Massachusetts, you are given an opportunity through the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment; provided you jump through all the hoops to get there, and receive a $6,200 grant to attend a place of higher learning such as this fake office training program, or a college or technical school.
To anyone on that boat right now, no pun intended, you need to pay attention to the rest of this review, especially if you are eligible for that section 30 grant. If you are an investor thinking about buying into this franchise, this is for you, too. If you are a "partner" of this Boston chapter than you might want to read this, too, because I'm going to put some of you out there to be rightfully shamed for taking advantage of poor people in a bad situation and using one of 3 rare exemptions in the City of Boston allowing you to take advantage of free labor commonly referred to as an internship. Some of you might be very surprised who is using this excemption to thier advantage.
First off, just because a business chooses to in some cases abuse the tax code and call itself a non-profit, does not mean it is a great organization and has a halo over it's banner. If your a devout Christian and read the Bible than you know the Bible warns about being influenced by Satan, and that he can cast himself as an angel of light. The same reasonates with a non-profit. In the end, that just means they are not psying taxes while making a small fortune off the tax-payer. The Boston chapter of Office Training Inc is located on prime property on Tremont street in a building full of law offices and public officials who work for the city and state. The YMCA Office Training Inc Program has quotas to fill. They graduate multiple classes a year that starts out with 40 students a class at $6,200 each in grant money. You do the math on that.
This school had decided at some point not terribly long ago to expand their demographic, to include men.
This is the reality. YMCA Training Inc is falsely claiming an 80 percent job placement rate. That is actually their internships rate. They purposely sell their students as free labor to their partners such as Boston Medical Center, Catholic Charities, Elections Dept of Boston City Hall, and Suffolk University and over s hundred more. They tell them hey, it's for a great cause. It doesn't have to be real work, give them all the crap work you need done and there's no pressure to permanently hire them.
The Y and employers say, do it for the good reference.
Massachusetts has the strictest internship rules in the country and because they are a non-profit, internship do not get paid, and are used to get crap work done. They only get jobs for a few out of every class. If your a guy, go elsewhere. Only 7 or 8 out of 40 get jobs. They are not equal opportunity. YouTube Boston Training Inc graduation and keep scrolling. Anne Myerson is the executive director and loves to give all the girls kisses on graduation day (hmm), does not like men and uses them to do her dirty work. John Brothers is her new hitman aka director and loves to impose his will if he doesn't like you. Buyer beware!
