I purchased a couch less than one year ago and the fabric has not held up due to poor quality. As seen in the pics, within 6 months of purchase, the fabric has loose threads and and is pilling. I spoke with a local reupholstery service and they confirmed that the weave of the fabric was too loose to be used on furniture. I exchanged emails with Alex @ Skylar and the following was their suggested resolution: In reference to our previous conversation for your sofa, we have been informed by the manufacturer that unfortunately, they are not able to warranty fabrics. Conversely, the pillows are able to be fixed free of charge. You may either purchase a fabric shaver which should alleviate the issue with the pilling, or we can offer you the [price] of $570.00 to reupholster the entire sofa. Suggesting that I purchase a fabric shaver (which I have tried; pics are after trying) or pay half of the original cost (~$1,100) of the couch is not satisfactory. Summary: I would steer clear and purchase from a store that stands behind their furniture. A couch should not have these issues starting within 6 months of purchase.
