One of the best hospitals we have ever been to. My daughter went undiagnosed with a fecal impaction for almost a year. Within minutes of her getting into the ER room everyone from the nurses to the physician instantly knew that she had very severe obstruction. To a untrained pediatrician or an adult ER doctor it would have been missed or misdiagnosed as it had bee. At three other hospitals. My baby suffered unnecessarily for a year because I made the wrong decision to go to the closest hospital instead of the best hospital. I live in Myrtle Beach, SC and to this day if anything serious is wrong with one of my three girls I will make the 7 hour drive to get them seen at CHOA. DO NOT THINK FOR A MOMENT THAT AN ADULT HOSPITAL IS YHE SAME THJNG AS A CHILDRENS ONLY HOSPITAL. Do not make the same mistake as I made and went the way of convenience over quality , compassion and experience. I am so moved by the work that the wonderful people at CHOA do I donate every year to the AFLAC care-a-thon. There have my baby her life back. I will forever be in debted to the miracle workers at this institution!
