Buyers beware of the sales pitch for the Guardian ...

Buyers beware of the sales pitch for the Guardian Warranties on things like furniture...specifically a leather sectional in my case. You are told that any accidental damages to the products are covered, but that is a blatantly over-generic statement made by the sales associates. Of course when the time comes to utilize that coverage, the Guardian company will look for key words to immediately deny a claim...and then also go to the standard qualification..."its all spelled out in the Terms and Conditions...did you read those?" Why did I...or do I...need to read the Terms and Conditions when I was told..."Any accidental damages are covered by this protection plan."

Note to homemakers management...train your sales associates to explain and detail exactly what these protection plans do and don't cover before making generic statements like "any accidental damages are covered". Or at a minimum, require your sales staff to read me the terms and conditions after making such statements.
