By far the worst experience ever post hip replacem...

By far the worst experience ever post hip replacement surgery. My surgeon was great but as soon as the moved me up to the Orthopedic floor, everything went down hill as the hospitalist doctor wasn't able to understand the pain I was going through following a major surgery. The goal was to be released after a day but they failed to get my pain under control in order to successfully complete my Physical Therapy requirement.

In addition, they went through 4 different Blood Pressure machines due to inaccurate readings since none of them worked, my bed was broken do I had to lay in one very uncomfortable position after my epidural from the OR wore off, and then they suggest I sit on the reclining chair after therapy which the Recliner was also broken. I was not supposed to sit at a 90 degree angle but because the Recliner wasn't operating like it should I was given no choice to to sit in the angle and ultimately made my pain a lot worse and will result in another surgery.

I wish my surgeon was able to operate on me at a different hospital because this is my 2nd surgery st this facility and BOTH experiences have been beyond horrible and painful. I'd highly suggest going to another hospital, ie Dignity Health - Chandler Regional Hospital, Mercy Gilbert Hospital, or just any other Banner Hospital location if your surgeon gives you the option. No matter what, stay away from this HORRIBLE medical facility if at all possible. Regardless of how poor the service and facility is here, you'll still be stuck with a hospital bill which they expect you to pay so might as well pay for a facility where you are comfortable, equipment operates correctly, and the staff is more understanding and compassionate towards you following a major surgery.
