A place that kids love and I endure. The payoff for me is that kids can get amusement park rides without traveling. Its relatively cheap since I live in the area. Then, if we ever do go to something like Disneyland, hopefully they can skip some of these common rides.
Cost saving tips: 1. Get a season pass there the first weekend its open or before. Get a parking pass if you intend to go more than a few times and dont want to bus there 2. Get a waterproof phone holder or fanny pack for 1 credit card, 1 key and 1 phone. There are lots of these on Amazon. You can skip the paid lock boxes and carry the rest. 3. Pack a lunch that you can keep in the car and eat . You can get your hand stamped and go in and out. 4. Skip eating there, either pack food in the car or go out to dinner after or both 5. Bring your own water bottle. Water refills are free. 6. You can often get away with each person taking 1 small food item in their bag - like a granola bar, fruit leather, or small lunch box sized bag of chips. This helps, especially with young kids.
We went to Great Wolf Lodge also. For us, season passes and a parking padd to Wild Waves are cheaper than 1 night at Great Wolf Lodge and the water activities are similar. For the most part, we will stick with Wild Waves.
Sunscreen. Take lots of sunscreen.
