Tour guide, Linda was excellent as well as Merv our driver I enjoyed all the places we visited and the accommodation were very nice for the most part. There were a few places we stayed that did not have a restaurant and there were not any eateries nearby. This was difficult because there were several elderly people on the tour and unable to walk the distance. It was difficult for everyone when it was dark outside. So I do feel they should have stayed closer to more places to eat when we stopped for the evening. This I feel YMT should improve, otherwise I I enjoyed the tour and the people on the tour very much.

Route 66 Tour was fantastic. The bus was always clean and everyone wore masks properly to protect each other. The tour Guide Daniel H. was the best. He knew so much about the tour and each location we visited and those of interest we passed on the way. Giving name origins of locations in either indigenous or Hispanic names was one example of the kinds of information he shared. Traveling through 9 states on and off Route 66 was a joyful 14 days. There was a lot of activity but other than one hotel in New Mexico the rest were clean and comfortable. This trip was well worth the money.

Great tour guides, Joe and Chris. Attentive and careful bus driver, Marv. Bus was very nice and comfortable. Overall was a wonderful trip.

Recommendations are .
Ramada Inn in Albuquerque was run down, torn furniture, toilet not working, would recommend finding a better place. Bad impression for the start of the trip.

You should take Tombstone off the places to visit. Building were old and musty smelling , gunfight so fake it was boring. Not worth stopping at.

Missed the welcome get together where everyone introduced themselves and got acquainted before we hopped on the bus.

Cowboy BBQ was good food, however, we were in a separate room away from the music and dancing and could not hear or even see the entertainment. Quite expensive for the event.

I originally booked the tour with a friend back in 2019/early 2020 which ended up cancelled/postponed until 2021 due to the Covid19 pandemic. While on the tour, we noticed people were participating in activities that we had not been informed of. When we asked about it, we were told that we should have signed up and paid for them prior to our trip. However, we had not been notified that it was even an option. For example: the Statue of Liberty side excursion was not advertised originally and was then not offered to us, so we missed out on that. We were also excluded from the last night goodbye dinner as it was added on after we signed up for the trip a year and a half prior, again with no notice. When we tried to add after the fact we were denied.
Although we knew that dinners were not included, we were misinformed that the restaurants were within 7 to 10 minutes from the hotel. They actually ended up becoming 30 to 40 minute walks and then lines to order. YMT vacations did not take into consideration the many elderly individuals needs (canes and walkers etc.). We ended up walking back after dark in unknown areas (keep in mind one of the places visited was New York), getting back late to have to be up early to go, go, go again the next morning. And to top it off, the hotels were of very poor quality.

Overall, not only was there nowhere near enough individual time for sightseeing/shopping, the hours of sitting on the bus caused many of the travelers pain from sitting too long. Please know that the bus driver, Merv, was exceptional, and the tour guide did her best to accommodate as well. Unfortunately, it wasn t enough for a positive review.

We had a wonderful vacation in Alaska with YMT!!! We were the first group back to Alaska since Covid. There was a few hiccups, but I'm sure they will get ironed out. Our tour guide, Tall Paul, was great, very knowledgable and entertaining. We also had a great bus driver, Levi. These two men make a great team. I also had a good experience with Bea Phethilay in Guest Services. With the money we paid for the trip I think that more meals should have been included in the price. It would have been nice to have a meet and greet when everyone got there and an end of trip dinner for everyone to get a chance to say goodbye. But, it was a very enjoyable trip and would consider YMT again.

The Tour Director, Ed, was amazing. I loved and enjoyed all the hiking spots that he introduced to us. Ed was knowledgeable, tailored to our needs, and passionate on what he does. I had an wonderful time. This Rocky Mountain Tour exceeded my expectation.

Second trip with YMT .. without our tour guide Liz s ability to react and adjust quickly to changing covid rules and closures this trip would have been a disaster. Our Bus driver Beverly was skilled and always assisted all in Need. Our tour was ultimate canyon and Rocky Mountain tour. This was an active tour, we were all tired, there were twelve hour days and early mornings. There were quite a few people on this tour that should have chosen an easier adventure. Meals were a problem, often there was no walkable restaurant at day end or it was closed. Liz would arrange stores to make sandwiches for us to buy so we could picnic lunch. She was constantly arranging food and bathroom stops as what was opened last week was closed this week. I would prefer a smaller tour group, especially in covid times. No more than forty, 25 would be better. With buffets closed and restaurants understaffed you can t just walk in with fifty people. We saw more sights than expected, it was beautiful, I lost weight, I m continuing my walking what a jumpstart to my exercise program! The trip was amazing but if your not walking a minimum of 5000 steps each day it s not for you.

First trip with YMT - a great experience with David Herzog as our tour director. He was extremely knowledgeable with on our 10 day tour to the Albuquerque Balloon Festival. We started in Phoenix and fully enjoyed the Embassy Suites Hotel. Definitely the best accommodations of the trip. Some of the other hotels were lacking in amenities such as a broken coffee machine and no - functioning toasters. As breakfast was the only meal provided, this caused some consternation. However, the itinerary made up for this as we traveled through southern Arizona and into New Mexico before arriving in Albuquerque in time for the Balloon Festival. A recommendation for YMT is to include some evening meals. It was difficult finding restaurants at the end of a long day close by to our hotel. Chain restaurants was our only option most of the time with long waits.

The Rocky Mountain Tour was amazing. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, personable, funny. He was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. The best part, was he really liked all the areas, you could tell how he talked about them. Our Driver was awesome, he was an amazing driver when we hit ice and know in the mountains. The tour was perfect, I couldn't ask for anything different. The bus was clean, the hotels were great, even the mountain rustic hotels were great. I seen more than I had expected. I had a blast, everyone on the bus was fun.

We took the 10-day bus trip to crimson canyon's and mesa's and thoroughly enjoyed everything about the trip We loved our guide and our bus driver and were able to see so many things that if we had done it on our own we would not have been able to see. I would recommend YMT vacations to anyone looking to take a trip and needing some guidance and direction because they made it very easy for us to get to see everything we wanted to see and none of the hassle of the planning It wasn't excellent trip Thank you.
