I like the convenience of the location and their selection. There prices reflect their convenience. When I've compared their prices to Amazon for fungicide, they are within a couple of dollars. Their plants seems to be of good quality, my test being that so far none of the ones I have purchased have died. However, they receive 2 stars from me, because their cashiers are awful. They are combative when asking about prices or even the location of something in the store. And don't even bother having them take you to it. The women who work during the day around noon do not seem very knowledgeable about plants and how to take care of them (speaking specifically about indoor plants, which granted they don't have a large variety in comparison to outdoor plants) and most importantly, they could care less about cashing you out. I refuse to return to this store after being treated like a bug on the floor the last couple of times I've been there. When I went two weeks ago, I didn't even bother to ask questions about what I was looking for- I just spent 10 minutes trying to find it. Not one person approached me while I was aimlessly searching, btw. But their evident lack of customer service when processing payment is what has soured my opinion of this business.

Absolutely love wandering this place. Great selection, staff usually pretty knowledgeable even though they can be difficult to track down, and the shop cat is so cute and affectionate. Love it when places have a sort of mascot running around.

Prices could be better, but that's kind of the nature of those specialty stores.

Huge space with tons of stuff to make your garden or any other space look fantastic. I mean all kinds of great things. Decent pricing as well. We went in to buy bulk soul for garden beds we were building. We gave the dimensions of the boxes and they calculated how much soil we needed and it turned out to really be the perfect amount. Cost of soil was less than I expected as well. Will definitely be back in to pick out cool decorations for my new garden area.

I love this place!!! Amazing flora selection, helpful staff, and reasonable prices. They've got all of the soil amendments, ground coverings, containers, fertilizers.... the list goes on!

Keep an eye out for Mondo* - the resident kitty who never passes up a head scritch :)

Clean inside. Mostly friendly staff. Not always very knowledgeable. Their "expert" couldn't even tell me what my mystery plant was so she just guessed (wrong I might add), and the plants I bought were mostly nice but some were put together kind of carelessly. A few had mold and gnats but here in Washington it's hard not to. I really like this place and they have beautiful items. Soil, planters, patio and household decorations, bird feeders and seed, plants of course and you can get any type of soil needs in bulk!! Prices are ok.

We buy almost all our plants here. Good variety , you can walk and walk and find pretty flowers and plants. I would suggest to research at home and go with a list of what you want. Four stars because we could not find help, we had to go all the way to the cash register to fnd someone.

Good selection but just like any specialty store everything has a "specialty" price tag.

The staff are knowledgeable, but a few of the cashiers are short and a little snubby. Personally I will take knowledgeable over polite.

Good fertilizer selection, and some cannabis oriented grow gear. (thats overpriced) Which is good for folks who may not want to be seen in a "hydro store", or for growroom emergencies.

Never tried their classes but heard they were informative.

Yard 'n Garden Land is a Vancouver treasure. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and always happy to talk about plants, placement and precipitation. As well as seasonal standards from seeds to trees, Yard 'n Garden always has unique varieties in eye popping arrangements to buy or create. Though it can be spendy, the gift shop is quaint and carries just about everything a gardener could want. They also carry a variety of landscape rocks, mulches and soils for pickup or delivery. Little by little, thanks to their great advice and whimsical ideas, my house is becoming a home.
