With over 180 acres of pristine woodland, prairie, river-side, and pine forest, Woldumar provides an ideal setting for people of all ages to connect with nature and learn about the environment.
At Woldumar Nature Center, we believe that environmental education is essential for creating a sustainable future. That's why we offer numerous outreach and on-site programs designed to inspire children as well as adults to become stewards of the environment. Our programs cover a wide range of topics such as ecology, conservation biology, natural history, geology, astronomy and more.
Our experienced educators use hands-on activities such as hiking trails or canoeing trips to engage participants in learning about the natural world around them. We also offer customized programs tailored to meet specific needs or interests such as scout groups or corporate team-building events.
One of our most popular offerings is our summer camp program which provides children with an opportunity to explore nature while having fun in a safe environment. Our camps are designed for children aged 4-14 years old with different themes each week ranging from "Wilderness Survival" to "Eco-Art".
