Such a delightful library, especially for kids. Our favorite place to spend quality time. Playing board games, checking out books, movies and audiobooks, playing in the little kid area, relaxing at the comfy chairs on the 3rs floor, and the fun activity packs for kids. Best library ever!

I love this library ! It's a shame that it is purposely neglected so that it can be demolished.New one will be far .Rollins has a lot of power here they need their space for conference building .Such a shame !!!!!one of the excuses were that there are not enough parking spaces .i am there on daily basis and there is no parking issue ever !! Only when there is election going on .Shame on you winter park ! We are better than this

I come here to try and get my work done and you would think that you would get some silence at a library but NOPE not this one. I specifically go to the quiet rooms at the third floor but it doesn't matter there is always someone talking loud on their phone, eating food, or something.

After thunderstorms and rain prevented our plan of a scenic boat tour we popped over to Winter Haven library, we were so happy to find the children s area with books, blocks, puzzles and baby gerbils to keep our large group happy! Very clean and organized, thank you.

As a resident of Winter Park, i went to see about a library card and hoping to join the library community. I was quickly informed of county municipalities that were frankly not my problem.. Im here for books. I was sent away being told to go to another library that this one would not allow me to use its services based in where i lived inside winter park. Very dissapointed.

This is an outstanding library and should be a model for other cities. They have a very broad selection and lots of natural light - a very comfortable environment. Also, the staff is friendly and always willing to help you find whatever you need. Highly recommended.

I am so thankful for the amazing staff and services offered at the Winter Park Public Library. It s been a blessing to have virtual storytime shared on the library s social media, as well as materials available digitally and through curbside pick up during the Pandemic.

I love WPPL! I can always find something interesting and everything is easy to find. Staff members are very helpful and walk you to where the item you're looking for is. I love that there's a staff recommendation shelf. I've found a lot of the staff likes the same stuff as I do!

Winter Park is the most up-to-date, surprisingly enough. Every time I want a movie or a book that has JUST hit the streets, (it never fails) I'll check my Orange County library first (no dice) and then lo and behold-- Winter Park to the rescue! How do they do it? I don't know. But they're definitely the cool-kids, on trend haha

We live in Orange county, so we were able to get a reciprocal card with them for free. Same thing when we were in Seminole County.

Also, if Winter Park doesn't have what you need, they'll request to borrow it from another library! An inter-library loan. I did that once, because I saw that Orange county had a book I needed (this was when we lived in Winter Park) and so I thought they'd get it from them. Well, I guess it was checked out, because the loaned book came from NORTH FLORIDA. like, 8 counties away!! Good grief. If that's not comprehensive customer service.....

Disappointing! I stopped by today the parking lot was was deserted! The library is still CLOSED ? While Orange County Public Library has been up & running for a few weeks already! Taxpayer money at work? that's why so many residents opposed the construction of the new multi-million dollar library. We're hardly getting any service from the current Library building and now a new one is being built? what we need is competent management not a new expensive building already not on schedule and grossly over-budget! Opening the library for a few hours a day Monday through Friday for curbside only is not acceptable Residents are already paying higher taxes for the new library that was going to open in 2020! Disappointing indeed!

I used to live right off Park Avenue- on Knowles Street. This was my local library and it was phenomenal! They have such a massive book selection- and they have a floor of DVDs as well. Before the pandemic they would have many classes, groups and events at this venue. This place plays the roll of a community center as well as a learning center.

There's a book club for everyone and used books for sale in the libraries store. Friendly atmosphere is a blessing! They have the most amazing music collection!

Very disappointed! Beware you must live in the "city limits" to get a card! I live just a few miles but would have to pay an outrageous fee to get a card and all the privileges. Librarian was cordial but not friendly.

Changing my rating to reflect the elitist attitude...

The Winter Park Library is wonderful! I love their self-check-in and check-out system, and they have a FANTASTIC online system where you can manage your materials. I also get emails sent to me 2 days before my items are due, which gives me plenty of reminder on when each item needs to go back, PLUS I can just click to renew the items from my home computer. They also have a way for you to create a wish list from home and reserve items from home.

My only complaint is their selection/availability. They often don't have what I want, or that item is checked out when I want it. This is only because it is a smaller library. I know that if I want to request a certain item, they will get it for me.

Beverly, Nikole, and Tom (we don t know their last names) are holding the fort so to speak with their consistent professional demeanor and helpful attitude. - We hope the new board members and the new interim director will renew - and require friendly, kind attitudes -from other employees - for which the Winter Park Public Library has been known.

Aesthetically speaking this library is outdated, but luckily we re getting a new one. As a former OCLS patron I soon discovered Orange Country libraries don t included WP. So many of the amenities i enjoyed there aren t offered at WP (book delivery, freegal). I ve learned to adapt since it comes down to getting books.
The staff is helpful & they offer some great events.
The used book store it a great spot to find books. I ve been picking up some great cooking books.
Hubs takes advantage of the computers, printing & scanning since our printer died.

Winter Park Library has a lot to learn from the Orange County Public Library. Service is not as friendly as Orange County, actually employees are rude sometimes and don't want to be bothered even when checking in items. They say just put the Items by the glass window but sometimes you like to get a receipt, they don't like that. there is one guy that's nice. I don't remember his name (Tom maybe) has like grey hair. Employees should be glad they work in such a nice place & location. Website needs Improvement fines are high late dvd's $1.00 per day Orange County $0.25 cents per Day. Many residents were opposed to the new big Library being built. Hopefully taxpayers will get better service at the new library for the millions being spent there!

The female blonde Library sitting on 2nd floor desk is completely rude. She doesn't even try to be nice. I feel very unwelcome when I visit, which happens to be almost daily for my work. She stares me down while I quietly work. My family reads a lot books per week and I check out many books at once. She has made comments as I walk away about how many books I take out from the "new arrival" section. Librarians should be welcoming and applauding parents that bring home books to their little and beginner readers. I don't know how to address this situation so I decided to post here.
