The Elephant Crisis Fund (ECF), created jointly with Save The Elephants organization provides rapid response grants aimed at stopping elephant poaching crisis across Africa through anti-poaching patrols & intelligence gathering networks
3) Marine Wildlife: Oceans cover over 70% percent our planetβs surface area but only 5% has been explored so far! Marine life faces numerous threats including overfishing; plastic pollution; climate change impacts like ocean acidification & warming waters which affect coral reefs & other marine ecosystems.. Through its Marine Conservation Action Fund (MCAF),WNC supports innovative approaches such as sustainable fishing practices , marine protected areas creation , research on marine mammals like whales & dolphins etc..
4) Primates: Gorillas,chimpanzees,baboons etc..are all under threat due mainly habitat destruction caused by logging,mining,palm oil plantations among others.WNC through its Primate Action Fund(PAF)supports initiatives aimed at conserving primates habitats while also empowering local communities living around primate habitats through education programs,sustainable livelihoods creation among others..
