Prosecutors are supposed to prosecute crimes not terrorize 10 year old boys for playing a schoolyard game during recess.
The fact that this was even considered by Kym Worthy's office is reason enough for her to resign and to have an investigation to this office's practices.

I just wanted to give your office and its personel a very large "pat on the back" for your gutsy move concerning the dealings with a thug whose last name is Melendez. i will not be disrespecful to the real heros in blue; i will never put the word Officer in front of his name. your job is scary enough without having to deal with a gang member wannabe in your ranks. god bless you mr. prosecutor, you and your men & women who are our hometown heros-------------- FOR SURE. I tried calling about the case of the 10-year old boy but I didn t get to talk because my grandma called before I could talk to someone and I didn t want to ignore her call Incase something happened to her. I wanted to say that there are serious school crimes happening and they don t have to flip out and prosecute a little 10 year old boy for trying to play dodgeball with his friends. It s unnecessary to open back up a case that did not need to be to be opened in the first place. The poor family is going through so much and they don t need to be worried about a case being opened back up about their 10 year old. Please, give the family some relief and let the little boy live his life in the fullest way possible without having to deal with an adult felony that prevents him from doing things like, getting a good job or a good education. Leave the family alone.

In a blatant disregard for proper, lawful procedure, Nelson Sumpter was seized without due process, subjected to an illegal trial, and wrongfully convicted. For 10 years, Nelson Sumpter has been illegally imprisoned having never been formally charged with a crime.

So I'm injured and I gotta go into court in two days wonder what the judge is gonna do bc I'm not going to jail I was trying to prevent from my friend was trying to do and I have never been so worried but it's a really bad situation bc if I get anxious my blood pressure is going to go through the roof and I know I'm innocent I don't care what the cameras say. I walked out with the stuff I bought and I get charged for it are you kidding me this is stupid.

DROP THE CHARGES in that million -
dollar marijuana bust, you outdated, police-state FOOLS. Legalization is coming to MI, and,
VERY soon, Canada, whether you drones
like it or not! What a waste...of time, and taxpayer's dollars I
hope the six
or so arrested CRUSH your case in court! They will be released from prison after November if sent there, anyway. You draconian idiots.

UPDATE: Hahaha, well, well, the judge saw COMMON SENSE and dropped the charges! Hahaha! Wow, what a rare and refreshing victory! Prosecutors and police drug units across this country need to wake up and realize that marijuana legalization is here to STAY, and will come to MI this year as well! So glad common sense and the FUTURE has won the day! BEST to the six, I hope they set up shop again, legally, if they would like! You had better hope they elect NOT to SUE YOU and the Narcotics Team for rights violations. Great decision, Judge King! You made the RIGHT choice. To legalization and a better way, and to the FUTURE! CHARGES DROPPED! And don't bother appealing the ruling. You will LOSE. Have a nice day! Focus on REAL drugs and crime!
