Waves for Water: Providing Access to Clean Water
Waves for Water is a non-profit organization that believes access to clean water is a fundamental human right. The organization was founded in 2009 by Jon Rose, a professional surfer who wanted to make a difference in the world. Since then, Waves for Water has been providing clean water solutions to communities around the world.
The organization's mission is simple: get clean water to every person who needs it. They do this by working with local communities and organizations to provide sustainable and long-term solutions. Waves for Water believes that everyone can make a difference, no matter how small their contribution may be.
One of the ways Waves for Water achieves its mission is through its Clean Water Couriers program. This program trains volunteers on how to distribute water filters and educate communities on proper sanitation practices. These volunteers then travel around the world, delivering these life-saving tools and educating people on how they can maintain their own clean water supply.
Another way Waves for Water helps provide access to clean water is through its Community Development program. This program works with local organizations and community leaders to identify areas where access to clean water is limited or non-existent. Once identified, Waves for Water provides funding and support so that these communities can build their own sustainable solutions.
Waves for Water also partners with corporations and brands who share their vision of providing access to clean water worldwide. These partnerships help fund projects in areas where there are urgent needs or where resources are scarce.
In addition, Waves for Water has launched several initiatives aimed at raising awareness about the importance of having access to clean drinking water worldwide. One such initiative is called "Clean Drinking," which encourages people around the world to pledge not only their support but also take action towards ensuring everyone has access safe drinking water.
Overall, Waves For Waters' work has had an incredible impact on millions of lives across the globe since its inception over ten years ago; the organization has provided clean water solutions to over 10 million people in more than 50 countries. The organization's commitment to providing sustainable and long-term solutions is what sets them apart from other non-profits working in the same space.
In conclusion, Waves for Water is an incredible organization that is making a real difference in the world. Their work towards providing access to clean water is not only life-changing but also life-saving. With their innovative programs and partnerships, they are helping communities around the world build sustainable solutions that will last for generations to come.
