I average 342-750 kilowatts of power and in January where the AC is off for that month and the hot water heater is off for half the month, I get charged 1,000 watts because the city of Tallahassee can't afford the lights downtown. When I bring this issue up Tallahassee Power says that is normal...WHAT!!!?...what are the chances of having an even 1,000 watts... very close to 0. They also claim to have the lowest rates, when in actuality they are double in price to everyone else in the state. They are no more than common thieves and the WORST utility company ever. This company can't even handle a small storm coming through without loss of power. A. Cut your trees back or B. Bury your lines, common sense people, that's all. Tallahassee is the absolute WORST Capital in the US run by a bunch of **************!!!!!!
