What an amazing campus. Well maintained. The staff appeared very genuine and caring. I went there for a tour for possible placement for an individual.

The staff r helpful. Then I hated the place but now I wish I was there still....... They helped me become mature enough for me to go to a group home. Which I never thought I could. Don't get me wrong I love my group home. The food was excellent. We had all different types of food. The activities were very good. I lost weight so that's a plus. So overall it was a good place to be

This place truely cares about people! Their work is amazing!

It's a very good at home for just children that have their problems they have very good staff

This place is a joke I'm parent of child who attends and trying to get the out there .she should not have to put up with discrimination because she was born male. She should not have to deal with verbal abusive teachers and staff members. Enough is enough .pretty sad they suppose to help kids that had to deal with issues that put them there to do good . But just get abused well guess laweyers and local news .will get her story.

Apparently they take good care but don't give priority to special children in care. I have a child there and they treat him superficially and drugs that give but care and attention do not and do not fulfill what they promise and not the staff is not pleasant and there is a lot of racism and If you do not speak English, they abuse them and their families ignore and suffer those people, not taking notice of their parents, which is paramount. There is no supervision. So it happens to me. Ami poq before I saw my son and I looked badly. . And the lawyer who takes care of them doesn't care and they sell to them instead of doing justice my son is Eduardo Salichs and I can't see him

From what I ve been hearing this place is sounding good to me

It was sort of okay.. I like it there and then I didn't.. if it weren't for my birth mom I wouldn't of never been there. Also I was naturally only suppose to be there until my dad got custody of me .. I don't think it's a good place for anyone to be there because especially the residents.. That's my honest opinion.. That's just how I feel about vanderheyden..

Great day program, staff is friendly and professional and genuinely care about the families who entrust their children here.

What an amazing organization to volunteer at. They are giving youth a chance that they wouldn't have otherwise.

My sister is attending Vangerheyden and it is amazing

Everything they tell you in the intake is bullshit. You get fed gross food unless your in cottage 6. You gain weight. There are always screaming kids in the hallway. There are fights all the time. The kids are always acting out. I went home for a home visit in august and am not coming back and my family is trying to enroll me in school in nyc and its been 2 months and i am still enrolled at vanderhyden. There is poor communication between everyone. My clinician melinda was very rude to my peers. as much as they taught me discipline and life skills, overall experience was terrible.

never go here some staff are inconsiderate and rude i wish i could give this place no stars but i am forced to. this place is wack
