I remember coming here every summer since I was 3. I loved the dolphin shows, the bats, the jellyfish. My friends and I would line up for like half an hour to go for the '4D' clips that were mind blowing back then.

During school field trips, they would let us go in the back where all the sea creatures that weren't on display were and we were able to pet them, I will forever remember the sea cucumbers.

I've also had sleepovers here, they bring out snake skins, a turtle shell and a bunch of exotic fish. It's really cool to be there at night where the whole place is empty. You get to see what happens at night and it's really fun.

They have all kinds of animals and sea creatures here and it's a really cool place to visit.

It's a great place to wander. The aquarium itself is fairly small compared to others I've attended, but contains many interesting live exhibits. You'll find seals, sea lions, rays, jellyfish, frogs, starfish, an electric eel, and many local aquatic lifeforms. They have had belugas and other cetaceans in the past, although I think those exhibits are being phased out. There are usually fossils available for viewing as well. The gift shop is extensive if you're looking for souvenirs, but with it being in Stanley Park and so close to the water, I prefer to take a slew of pictures to commemorate my visit.

Over priced entry fee by far but a fantastic place to enjoy and see interesting animals and aquatic life. Food inside is also over priced but tasty burgers. Needs more community support and less protests or pretty soon there won't be much there to pay an entry fee for. The people who run the aquarium are caring and knowledgeable, they care greatly for the animals and anyone who thinks otherwise should quit protesting and go apply for a job there to make an actual difference that matters.

Wonderful aquarium, concentrating (rightly) on the sealife of the Pacific Northwest. Excellent tanks with wildlife from various parts of the coastline. Some amazing jellyfish tanks as well, highlighting the research work that the aquarium does. We also loved the beluga whales, with a lovely underwater viewing gallery. Well worth the price of admission.

Extremely educational and in such a beautiful location to boot. A perfect place to bring people, as there's something for everyone. Bring your children, a date, or just go with friends, everyone's bound to have fun. If you're a resident of Vancouver or the Lower Mainland, getting a yearly membership is my top recommendation. It pays off after your second visit, and carries a universal 20% discount on food and merchandise within the aquarium.

Been loving the aquarium for 40 years (used to go every week as members) but just can t take my family anymore. $38 for an adult? $30 for a student? In a city where the cost of living already makes sights like this a maybe luxury? Mental. I get that they have operating costs, but there has to be some way to make the aquarium profitable and also reasonably affordable. Makes a once-a-year visit about the only realistic option. Tourists over locals, yet again. So sad.

Worth a visit, especially with kids. I agree with others that some of the larger creatures could use a larger environment. I appreciate that they only keep larger animals that can't be rehabilitated or that are being rehabilitated. That's the way it should be. We don't need a circus or a Sea World experience, just to see the beauty of nature and hopefully watch animals as they're being cared for or being helped back into the wild.

The vancouver aquarium is excellent for a walk with children and to understand the importance of taking care of our ecosystems. 4d cinema is really fun. It is possible to see the entire aquarium in 3 hours. As with any tourist attraction, things can be very expensive

Originally planned for an outside activity that day. Well it was pouring down rain, so why not go to the aquarium. Made an excellent choice....you'll see plenty, the fact that there are sea lions, otters, dolphins plus bazillions of fish & reptiles made it a very enjoyable experience. Kid's really enjoyed the time.

Plan a morning and an afternoon if you want to do everything, especially with children. I had a bad experience buying tickets, but it seemed exceptional. There are discount coupons, but you have to have one per person. It is still quite expensive for a family, but it is worth it.
