The business, started by Pieter de Villiers in 2009 in his garage, is now a recognised brand sold in Woolworths stores across South Africa, with significant international markets beckoning. The flagship De Villiers Chocolate retail store is situated at the popular Spice Route wine farm in Paarl, with further locations to be opened soon.
