United disabilities services

I admire any business that cares about their clients and the employees that serve them. I have a family member that works for UDS and she is continually praising then for their high values. People aren t numbers getting lost in the shuffle thanks to organizations like UDS. Thank you for all you do!

This organization is a wonderful group of people with a mission to lift up individuals with disabilities. Across the board, UDS employee have huge hearts with kind souls while remaining driven to promote a very a worthy cause.

What does this place even do?! Every time my mother needed to utilize her service coordinator for resources, she was just given a long list of names and told to blindly choose one. 90% of the resources they provided her don't even serve the county she lives in. They don't fact check the information they give out to people. I should be paid her service coordinator's salary because I basically did her job the entire time my mother was working with them. Not to mention her service coordinator was NEVER at work, I constantly had to email upper management to get an answer for anything. I would not recommend this place to anyone in need of service assistance. They literally do nothing but give you one headache after another.

UDS has such a positive impact on the community. As a volunteer I've been able to see firsthand the many ways they serve people with disabilities. As someone with a disabled family member, I was able to experience how friendly and helpful their staff members are. They gave us the resources we were looking for, and followed up to see how they could further assist us. They are genuinely invested in their clients' lives and it shows.

UDS became a blessing for my mother, who became ill, and for her family members assisting with her care. A company starts only with a name; it is their employees who make it a success! For our family, Coordinator Janelle Swank was our blessing. We were overwhelmed with the entire process. Janelle patiently sat down with us to explain and review every detail of the entire process. Once she started the plan of action (which takes time, and patience, for all parties involved), there was no stopping her. She would always return our calls in a timely manner. She made sure that our mothers needs, those which fell under her scope of responsibilities, were being fulfilled. This in turn, took a lot of stress off of my sisters and I, which is an important factor when caring for your loved ones when they can no longer care for themselves. Lifestyle changes are not always easy, and can be very overwhelming for not only the ailing family member, but for all family members involved. I gave UDS 5 stars for their job knowledge, their ability to get the job done, and for the ongoing respect extended to my mother, and my sisters and I throughout. I would highly recommend United Disabilities Services to any families with loved ones needing ongoing support and care. They are dedicated to meeting the needs of their clients.

It's not just about the dogs, (although they rule in my world I confess). I had a vague idea of what UDS did, but after a tour yesterday, I'm truly amazed. The breadth of the services is astounding. It's wonderful to know there is a place that serves so many people, of vastly different ages, challenges and needs, headquartered right here in Central PA. Thank you for the difference you are making ,UDS!

UDS is the embodiment of what a community nonprofit should and can be. They are focused on providing quality services in everything they do, from Service Coordination to training service dogs for those with disabilities. Their management team are true industry leaders and 100% committed to the communities and individuals they serve, while providing a supportive, positive workplace.

I m giving this organization 5 stars because of the excellent services I have received on behalf of my elderly mother who suffers from Alzheimer s disease. Because of the caring and professional caseworkers at UDS, she is now residing in an outstanding facility. My caseworker checks in with me fairly frequently to check on the care my mom is getting and to see if I have any questions or concerns.
