Wonderful caring people, truly excited and dedicated to their community center. So grateful to be working with this organization.

I had the Friday fish buffet at El cafe de sol. You eat all the fried cod you want. They have other dishes to like baked chicken, rice, salad, and baked fish. Its not a big choice like old country buffet but the food is high in quality. Its about twelve dollars for the buffet and a extra two dollars for unlimited soda. They give you a pitcher of water so you don't really need to have a soda. You serve yourself food and the waitress bring your soda. If you wanted you can fill your plate with ten pieces of fish but I didn't want to be rude lol. They were nice and always refilled your soda and checked on you. They also have a different band play every week.

The the classes were great but the food sucked and there was lack of communication

I love UCC Boxing gym because we have amazing coaches to help our youth.

I was at United Community Center (UCC) over the last three months of 2018. I was in their program for those who have issues with alcohol and drugs. In no way have I been swayed to give any feedback at all, neither have I spoken to anyone concerning what I am about to write here as, I came across this review board while looking at their page on the internet.

I don't really know if they will be able to stand up to the 'Great Review' that I am going to give them... but, here we go!

From the day I arrived at their campus broken down and homeless till the very end, three months later, I was treated with dignity and respect. There was always an attentive ear nearby. 24 hours a day, there was a person from their staff ready and willing to listen to my needs and even whims. Of course, they didn't have to entertain what I said but, they always listened. Many times arose where my issues spanned from not having personal hygiene products to needing help with communicating with my family, They really worked hard to figure out what was wrong and what could be an answer for the problem at hand.

UCC's program included daily counselling, working out at a gym and even yoga. All of which were very useful to my transformation and growth.

Throughout my life, and even though I am vexed by alcoholism, I still hold high standards, and from my point of view UCC's counsellors and therapists were top-notch. Their knowledge and resource base allows me to have notes and information that I will be able to use well into the future.

Today, my life is much better, due to knowing that during my darkest hours, there was someone there for me. You guessed it... UCC, United Community Center.
