Best place for me to get breakfast. Lunch..Ehhh, and dinner the same, but still amazing place for breakfast. Love this place!

Franklin is a very nice older venue. The food is amazing and offers plenty of choices - including hard serve ice cream.

I wish my own University had food this good when I went. So many options without lowering quality.

Great stir fry bar, and reasonable selection selection. Tasty dessert and spacious seating, while students are away.

Grill sandwiches are to die for. Other food is mediocre. Many choices, but I am from the South and like soul food. Hardly see any down home cooking. No collard greens, no Mac and cheese or potato salad. Also no fried chicken or pork chops.

I read that Umass Amherst has the best rated dining program in the entire USA, and after trying the food here I can confirm that. there are way too many options, and lot of healthy , locally sourced or grown locally food options. they even have a vegetable garden right outside the dining hall. they offer options for folks with dietary restrictions .

Went here on a field trip. Pretty good food. If you're like me and you pick schools off of there dining experience, go for it!

Some of you might be aware that, it has been consistently winning no.1 university dining hall in US. And the award is not unjust, although I haven't tried dining halls of other universities but I definitely hear stories of them from my friends studying in various universities. It certainly is the best. They have so much variety every day that it becomes hard to choose. Whether ,you are a vegan, looking for gluten free food, pan Asian options, Italian ,Asian ,deli , desserts or whatever, you'll find just about anything. One of the best sushi, I had here. Best part is, most of the raw material, they grow on their own university farms with the help of students from their agriculture department. I love coming here.

As far as a college dining hall goes, it was pretty exceptional

4.5 stars is this was 2014. Sadly, it's not, and Frank has only gotten worse each year since. Finger Food Friday and Burger Monday, along with the quality of most recurring dishes, are long gone.

Try the stir fry or get a handmade sandwich! Easily their best 2 static options available. After that, grab some ice cream or froyo. The peach froyo is my fave

Pretty good. I loved the soft serve and egg roles. However the waffles weren't great.

If you're looking for a dining hall where you can get work done, Frank is it. If you're looking for a dining hall with great lunch and dinner options, it can be kind of hit-or-miss.

I love the food as well as the stir fry, but I wish the supervisor spoke to the employee about his headphones in the back instead of out in the open because that's completely unprofessional. Especially if #UMassDining is #1.

Great breakfast but the dinners are just ok. Nothing special

Decent food, but the tables were kind of dirty. If you go you should go early to avoid long lines and messy tables. Of course this could be due to move in day craziness, but I do only have the single data point.

Mediocre food. Bland atmosphere. Distinct lack of charging outlets.

Amazing food and service. A better experience than Hampshire DC. Seating is less difficult to find.

Just fantastic! Had heard before coming here that UMass has the best dining service in the country, and boy I was not disappointed. The amount of options available will leave you spoilt for choice. There are tons of vegetarian options too. The food is cooked and tastes well. And the ambience is good too, nice and quiet. All in all a great place to have a meal!

It's good but only 3/4 of how good Worcester dining commons is!

Just a station that is very seasoned and taste amazing. Food is goos but I would like more authentic food.

Probably the best dinning hall in the campus. I would give 5 starts for the food being healthy and all, but when it comes to taste I had give 1 star.

Of the UMass dining commons, it is my least favourite. But the omelet crew is incredible. They remember the regulars and are so friendly

They claim to be the #1 dining but its not....limited menu and items for Muslims....

It is one among the best dining commons at Umass, they have excellent stir fry, it is a must try. But there are no late night options which makes it hard to get a snack at midnight. Apart from the stir fry it doesn't match that well with Hampshire

Best dining hall on the University of Massachusetts. With a wide variety of foods and excellent staff that are always smiling, Franklin feels like home. Whether you're meeting up with friends or grabbing a quiet breakfast alone, Frank is the place to be. While it aesthetically may not be the newest or flashiest dining hall, it's dependability and consistency make it number one.

UMass has given up. Since winning #1 campus dining they're not even trying!! I used to enjoy eatinf, NOT ANYMORE. Literally just looking at some of the food here is enough to kill your appetite. It also always smells slightly off. Things are mislabeled all the time, it's a joke. Don't go, dining plans are now a waste of money.

You'd be much better off going to any of the other dining Commons at the University.

UMASS dining is outstanding! The variety is unlimited, so many choices, options and cuisines!

The funnest and funkiest of the Dining Commons. It may not be pretty, but the people are awesome. Plus, they have the best stir fry on the entire campus. If only they stayed open later.

Excellent food. Here for student orientation. So many options!

This dining is one of the best places in amherst to eat. Their lomein and sandwiches are great. The staff are very very nice and welcoming. The quality of food is not very good, but it is delicious. The pizza and fries are a little oily and salty. Sometimes they have sushi, and it is very good. The California role tastes very good. They have parking spaces available in the back of dining, and usually you can park your car easily.
