UiS Subsea is a student organization at the University of Stavanger that provides students with opportunities to work on multidisciplinary projects focused on building remote-controlled and autonomous subsea equipment, such as ROVs and AUVs. The organization aims to create an environment for innovation and encourage students to take part in major technical projects, and it competes in local and international subsea competitions. Members come from fields including electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer science, and the organization is structured to function like a company to give students practical experience. UiS Subsea has its own office at the university, arranges social events and team-building activities, and serves as a bridge between its student members and business partners in the subsea industry.
