UChicago Impact is a leading provider of empirically-based tools and supporting services that help schools create reliably excellent schooling. The company was founded in 2010 as part of the University of Chicago's Urban Education Institute, which has been at the forefront of education research for over three decades.
At UChicago Impact, we believe that every student deserves an excellent education, regardless of their background or circumstances. We also believe that excellence can be achieved through evidence-based practices and continuous improvement. That's why we have developed a range of tools and services that are grounded in research and designed to help schools improve outcomes for all students.
One of our flagship products is the 5Essentials Survey, which measures school climate and culture across five key areas: effective leaders, collaborative teachers, involved families, supportive environment, and ambitious instruction. The survey has been used by thousands of schools across the country to identify areas for improvement and track progress over time.
We also offer a range of coaching services to support school leaders in implementing evidence-based practices. Our coaching model is based on the principles of adult learning theory and focuses on building capacity within schools to sustain improvement efforts over time.
