I mounted a set of D4s on my Honda Africa Twin and they look sharp, though I regret getting them before DataDim became available, so they’re stuck on high beam. For my Honda ST1300, I wanted better side illumination on low beam and something sleeker than the bulky D4s. The D2s seemed like a logical step down in size, but I knew that meant less brightness. I figured DataDim would be essential, but after testing, I found the lower intensity didn't really help my visibility on low beams. The high intensity was decent but not amazing. I actually switched back to the original relay to keep full power all the time. If you do that, I suggest using the flood light lens on the side facing oncoming traffic so you don't blind drivers; I even switched my side lens to flood for slightly better edge lighting. My final advice? Skip the DataDim upgrade. Instead, buy a switch eliminator because keeping them on is better than toggling. Honestly, for the price, I’m not thrilled with how these performed on my bike. Next time, I’d pick a model that actually throws more light.

If you ride a Suzuki V-Strom DL650 like me, these are a must-have upgrade. I already had Barkbuster Storm handguards, but the included weights didn’t fully eliminate the vibration. These additional weights did the trick, and my hands and wrists are much more comfortable now. Overall, a good product with room for a cleaner design.
