Tupps Brewery was founded by Keith Lewis and Tupper Patnode in 2015. Both men had extensive experience in the brewing industry, having worked for some of the biggest names in craft beer before striking out on their own. They chose McKinney as their home base because they saw an opportunity to bring high-quality craft beer to an area that was underserved.
From the beginning, Tupps Brewery has been committed to using only the finest ingredients in their beers. They source hops from around the world and use locally grown grains whenever possible. This dedication to quality has paid off - Tupps beers have won numerous awards at national competitions.
The Beers of Tupps Brewery
One thing that sets Tupps apart from other breweries is their willingness to experiment with different styles and flavors. While they offer traditional styles like IPAs, stouts, and lagers, they also create unique brews like their Raspberry Shade sour ale or Full Grown Man imperial stout aged on coffee beans.
One standout beer from Tupps is their DDH series (Double Dry Hopped). These IPAs are brewed with twice as many hops as usual for an intense burst of flavor and aroma. Each batch features different hop varieties so there's always something new to try.
