Was married by Judge Pace, one of the most amazing Judges, she was very supportive and welcoming. Our son was 5 at the time and full of questions, Judge Pace answered every question he had and even allowed him to sit in her seat making our day extra special.

If you get a Jury Duty summon and have to show up, make sure you plan in advance financialy! I was counting on $20 a day and the "mileage reimbursement" given out at the end of each day and that's not the case. If you just have to go the 2 days then you won't see any of that for 3 weeks after they dismiss you! Or even if you get selected for a trial its that long after thats over. Very dissapointed to see that seeing how i barely made it work, being a much farther distance to drive than my distance to work. I can see people who have worse financial circumstances really having a tough time. I feel like people would have better attitudes performing their duty as a citizen if it was less stressful as possible financialy.

Was summoned for jury duty and had no problem with attending. I sat for two jury selections, the first one I was disqualified for which I agree with because the circumstances of the case hit close to home. The second one I went and served on the jury and had no issues. Mainly it was a decent jury summons experience except that in the first selection I was harassed by the judge for telling the truth. I was made to feel like I was on trial. I was asked if I could be impartial and I said I wasn t sure. I didn t want to lie and wasn t trying to get out of it. The judge proceeded to yell and harass me for not giving a yes or no. It took everything I had not to break down crying. I can t believe they can treat jurors that way.

If you have limited mobility, there is plenty of handicap parking to the south side of the building in a private lot for $10/day. You have to go to the front of the building, though, which is a long walk. It might be easier to have someone take you in a wheelchair or take an Uber to the front door.

There's lots of activity in the building, especially for traffic citations. The judges in the courtrooms were quick and efficient, but very respectful of anyone who needed help, either physically or with understanding procedures and instructions. I'm just glad it's not a place I would have to visit often in my lifetime!

Judge Hiddle was also not too kind during the case as he allow the opposing counsel to incriminate me and commit perjury in open court, which my counsel could literally do nothing about. It was like a weird episode of Grumpy Old Men, which is usually the case in most courthouses. I hate to say it , but they'll never work with anyone here unless you're white and unethical. Good luck getting anything done in this courthouse.

Terrible customer service (mainly small claims) clerks do not care about your problems even if you've not done any filing before you're pretty well on your own there are one or two people that we'll help you good strongly suggest calling first and getting answers before trying to go through their bureaucratic system good luck
