This place is awesome! Good, balanced selection of beers available; exceptionally friendly staff, and a convenient bottle shop right at the door. We visited for the first time on Sunday and were treated like regulars by the helpful, friendly servers and manager. We came back the next day for a few "Crowlers" (1L sized cans of their beer). Looking forward to our next visit!
Love this place. Best beer in town. Incredible people. They have an amazing ability to make me feel like I'm getting preferential treatment. Even when they communicate that they would prefer that I leave.
This is an awesome neighborhood brewery with a great selection of solid beers. Their tasting room is a full size pub with lots of nice wood tables and a cool mural of Ottawa streets on the wall. Atmosphere is super casual and staff are very good - friendly and attentive without being pushy.
Another awesome find in this fun part of Ottawa! Tooth and Nail is a boutique brewery that serves up a great range of beers, tasty snacks in a chilled atmosphere with great service! We enjoyed sitting outside - perfect for warm Ottawa days! Really fantastic experience!
Interesting beers and a fabulous bunwich ... what more could you want?!
Great beer and friendly staff - food looked great but didn't have a chance to try it. Thanks!
Great beers. Attentive and friendly staff. I need to go back again soon!
Excellent beer, and an amazing guest cider from Revel in Guelph.
The best brewpub in Ottawa, one of the top brewers around. The staff are always friendly without being intrusive. Not sure why some others here complain about them, but without a doubt, one of the friendliest places around. Its a place to have some good beer and maby a small snack, not to go for fine dining or wine. I do wish they had more sour beer and ciders
Some of their beers are quite good. Be aware, they lack a hot kitchen, so the snacks/edibles are rather limited.
Great atmosphere and great beer. This place can get rather busy and parking is a bit annoying. This is a great place to have conversations with friends. It's nice and relaxed. The menu isn't very extensive. It consists mostly of snack foods. A great place to hang out.
Had the stout, one of my favourites now. Very friendly staff
Staff amazingly friendly , beer exceptionally cold and delishious
Great beers, good broad selection - staff is friendly and knowledgeable - service is excellent. Check online beforehand to make sure your preferred brew is available on tap. Don't forget to check their take-away shop for some beers for home. Another one of the high quality craft brew houses in Ottawa
I'm really glad I stopped by Tooth and Nail. The place was very laid-back and relaxed, but the bartenders were very friendly. While I didn't try any of the food, their beers were fantastic. I ordered two tasters, so I could try a little of each one. The IPA and APA were the best. I though they had a perfect balance of hops, but all of them had good flavour. I'd totally be willing to go back.
Great beer that's always changing. Small food menu but that is expected for a brew pub.
A variety of tasty beers and snacks that are always changing! Staff are great and well informed! Relaxed and homey atmosphere. Again, some of the tastiest beer I've ever had!
You can tell that lots of effort was put in their beers.
Did a tour here through Brew Donkey tours, very interesting chat and tour with Matt who is the head honcho there. Great beers, especially recommend their Vim & Vigor pilsner!
Friendly staff and great vibe. I don't even like beer, but really enjoyed the hibiscus beer I tasted.
Beer was good. Smelled a bit like bleach. I guess that means it was clean.
Great beers and really cool vibe. Can't wait to go back for some grub. Very friendly staff and fun environment. I would go back for a beer anytime. Nothing to complain about.
Honestly, I love the beer at tooth and nail, huge selection at great prices. This establishment gets 2 stars because of the first time I sat in the place to have a drink the servers were incredibly unprofessional. They were throwing coasters at each other and hitting CUSTOMERS who were there to relax and have a good time. Really disappointed with their actions.
Super friendly staff who support my friend's Monday night, group letter writing sessions. Great beer. Low key atmosphere.
Rabble Rouser is THE best IPA I've had from Ottawa. Hands down. Fortitude also good.
Great Craft beers, food in an relaxed atmosphere cheers
Excellent beer in genial location. Best hoppy hour in town.
More style than substance. Ordered a pint, got charged for a pint, but was given a lesser amount in what was described as an American pint when I complained. Once was enough for me. Cant even be bothered to pour a proper pint.
Nice little neighbourhood brew pub. Had about 10 different selections on tap and a beer store on sigh site. I was there at 5 on a Saturday and there wasn't much on the food menu. A few bar snacks and a selection of sandwiches. Not sure if if they have a more extensive menu at other times.
Cozy spot for a solid beer selection and awesome bar snacks.
Always such a wonderful experience. Love the atmosphere and adore the beer.
Cheers friends.
Great beer, atmosphere, service and bar bites! Rabble Rouser IPA just perfect. Very lucky to be within walking distance!
Good atmosphere, and delicious beer. Sad to say they don't do or plan on growler fills but still a good spot to meet after work or just on your own.
The Ottawa location cancelled an event I was helping to organize at short notice and for no adequately explained reason. If you're looking for a venue, be careful.
Perhaps our new favorite brew pub in the area. Their entire line of beer is great with lots of new and innovative brews in the pipeline. Limited menu but very high quality snacks and charcuterie make it a perfect place for a pint and a wee bite.
tasty variety of beer, good snacks, friendly folks, comfortable spot
Delicious beers in a cool locale. Can t wait for Covid-19 to be over because I m desperately craving me some happy hour libations.
Great spot! Great friendly vibe and the beers are deeeeeelicious!!!
Excelent music, the Mediterranean Veg is hands down the best sandwich I've ever had, highly recommended. Oh, and the beer is great too!
Servers are fantastic here. Very knowledgeable about the beer on tap and why they are served in different glasses. Great selection of beer and a snack selection. The one down side is there no hooks under the tables for your jackets. Come early as it is a popular hang out.
Lovely local spot with a variety of interesting beers. The food is decent snacking fare, and the atmosphere is great, convivial, and spacious. My partner was surprised by the size of the brewery. Service is excellent and quick.
The owners of this new brewery have pulled out all of the stops and have done a spectacular job of converting an old print shop into a beautiful space, which is quite large and can easily accommodate groups, parties and live music.
The menu is all about beer, and the food is really just for satisfying the munchies after hoisting a few.
I tried the Tenacity pale ale which was very smooth and enjoyable. Even better was the Rabble-Rouser IPA which was firm and hoppy, but not overly strong.
Aware that the branding and merchandise is almost as important as the product, they have done a nice job of creating a bold and recognizable logo in red and black in line with Ottawa's pro sorts teams. The distinctive glassware for home enjoyment is a must have as well. I bought 4... Well done!
Delicious beer, nice venue. Really like their hoppy beers (Solo Mission ADHA, Rabble Rouser, and Sucker Punch. Good food here as well!
I really hope Ottawa craft brewers go the way of Halifax brewers and fill any growler a customer brings in, not just their own. 5/5 when that day comes!
Tooth and Nail Brewing Company is a great neighbourhood brew pub. The ambience is cozy with wooden tables and benches. The music is present but not over bearing. The selection of beer is pretty good. My first critique is that their food menu is limited due to a lack of a kitchen, however the food is good quality and has an artisan feel. My second critique is that their beer menu does not list the IBU of each beer, but you can ask there servers and they can tell you all about the selection. Having a larger food selection and IBU listings would boost my review tobe4 stars. Great to have another brew pub to add to the list. I will be back if I am back in the neighbourhood.
Pfff. Ok good bar if you want to spend 35$ for a plate of cheese that came with dirty cutlery. Apart from that, worst service I've ever had. The manager thinks he knows what he is doing but is as incompetent as they come. I think my 5 year old dog is more competent that he is. If you want to be talked down to by employee's than this is the place for you! Enjoy!
I was looking for a new craft beer place close to work and someone recommended this place. I haven't tried the food, but I can definitely comment on the beer. The IPA is fantastic. Nice hoppiness, mild citrus flavour. The stout is also a winner, without being overly thick. My least favorite was the Pale Ale, but it was still quite flavourful.
Really nice bar and brewery. Good variety of their own beers and a few other options (cider and wine) and some yummy snacks.
Good beer selection, nice atmosphere and great music playing.
Great beers on tap with staff that are happy to help you make the right choice. My favourite microbrewery in Ottawa so far.
I tried the 3 beer flight. Great atmosphere. I wish they have more food options. I get that its a brewery, but I think they can have a couple more food options that require no cooking. What they have is pretty good, but I just like having options.
Excellent selection, awesome staff, and a friendly vibe.
Short beer menu but quite broad in styles and flavors. Beer geeks who are looking for a unique experience, Tooth and Nail is a fantastic place.
There's a beer for everyone. Staff is friendly. Great place to go solo or with friends.
Came here on a Thursday evening. Great selection of beers and the atmosphere is fantastic. Would definitely recommend for a visit.
Good sandwich
Good beer
Great place for beer they brew on site and you can purchase beer to take home. Super nice staff.
The service is very good, friendly and warm. They like their beers and appreciate the customers conversations. I had the Pilsner, the Pale Ale, the Stout and the Saison and I would not want to have been drinking any other beer at that time. Balance, strong and delicious. If you are in Ottawa looking for good beer, get here.
Showed up after a long drive and checked to make sure they were open online. It said patio was open. The hostess was really rude and said they were full for reservations for the night (no reservation option on site) and the patio was wide open. Tried to get beer to go and was also turned away because they re Internet was down. I m sure they have fine beer but I won t be coming back to try it.
Extremely good beer, wonderfully friendly staff and a family friendly environment!
Today was a beautiful September day in Ottawa and we spent an hour or so walking around Hintonburg so decided to stop by Tooth and Nail. Picked up a variety of beer and have to say that their curbside pick up was crazy fast and friendly. When I got home I cracked a Black is Beautiful...oh my God. I love stouts and dark beer and have had so many different ones over the years but have to say this is the smoothest, richest and most tasty that I have ever had! Great spot, great people and frickin great beer. Go people!
Very good beer. Really loved their pilsner vim and vigour. It was so smooth with a nice finish. The atmosphere is urban industrial. It's a converted mechanics garage.
Beer selection seems to have a beer for everyone. I tried all of of them and enjoyed most of them. My friends ordered food and said the quality was amazing but the portions are quite small as stated in a few reviews. Overall it was a good experience and had amazing service and got a few cans to go. Would definitely recommend the beer and food if you're not expecting a huge meal!
Friendly service, good beer and the best pastrami sandwich I ve ever had!
This brewery was great! Good to try various beer in sample sizes in a cute glass. I could try a range of beer from light fruity beer, crispy filtered wheat ale, to stout with aroma of earthy dark chocolate. It was good place to hang out with friends.
Beer is awesome, food is meat focused: meat sandwiches and charcuterie. There's some vegetarian finger food. Friendly staff. Did I mention the beer is awesome? They always have a guest tap; they often have cider; and periodically a collaboration.
We have been buying beer from Tooth and Nail fairly regularly over the past few years, more since COVID as we were trying to support local. We went to the patio for the first time today since COVID started and these guys are ON THEIR GAME.
All servers were wearing their masks *properly* the entire time we were there. They took down our first name and phone number for contact tracing in case someone tests positive and was there. They are seating no more than two people per table, even for groups larger than two, and they are enforcing physical distancing (someone from another table moved his chair bit closer to us and the server asked him to move back in closer to his table to give us space). Finally, they had a brilliant menu system with a QR code on each table that can be scanned instead of handling physical menus (some places are doing disposible menus which is better than regular menus but overall quite wasteful).
As usual, 5/5 for these guys and will continue to support them.
First time here last night......all I can day is GO......GO.......Go. What an amazing set up. The beer is so good and there is a beer for every tastebud. You can order a big glas or just 3 oz glass. The staff are on top of their game and waiting for a beer is non exsistant. The second you finish your glass someone magically appears and offers to fill it up again or try a different flavour.
Had a great time and will be back 100 percent.
Delicious beer, great atmosphere. Decent selection of food but at steeper prices
This location is really nice, it's a lot bigger than it looks from outside, great for gathering as a group as they have nice long tables. Beer is pretty good, not the best of the microbrew crowd but not bad at all. Super nice staff!
Music absolutely deafening and in bad taste. I felt like I was at a heavy metal concert. Very limited choice of products. They did not even have white wine anymore.
I would not go back!
One of the best breweries in the city, great friendly service, good quality apparel, can't ask for more
