Thunderbird Resorts Philippines

Love the villa with 2 bedrooms and a living room. All with flat screen smart tvs. Food is so so. Breakfast is essentially the same everyday just like in a hotel. Small selection of food. On one day of our stay, there were 2 trucks filled with water parked in our villa pumping water continuously from 8am up until we asked them to stop at around 9pm. We thought they would stop eventually when we went for a swim at around 4pm to 8pm but no. I believe they would continue all through out the night if we did not complain. Yes, we were considerate enough to let them be because we understand that water is needed. The first time we called to complain was at 8pm. I mean what were they filling up? They are already using 2 trucks of water, it shouldve been full in less than 12 hours. The trucks with their pumps were noisy enough (it was a continuous brrrrrr that will be really irritating after 20 minutes) that relaxation is not an option during the time they were pumping water. You can't hear yourself think. Not really a 5 star experience if you ask me because if it was, we wouldn't even see the trucks pumping water. It was an eye sore if you consider the santorini setting of the villas. This may be an isolated case but then again, they guarantee you a 5 star experience which was not what we got with that incident. Really inconsiderate management that was compensated by the friendly staff.

Me and my wife went there for our honeymoon. They really did a good job on trying to get that Santorini vibe. It's nice and cozy place to stay. Delicious breakfast; nice view of the beach even though we have to walk a little just to go there. The only issues we had were that the room they gave us have this old and dusty smell, obviously no one had occupied that room for a while. Also, we've experienced sudden water outages while taking a bath.

I have been to this place twice already. The place it self is really nice. The rooms were pretty comfortable. There's two main attractions that I know of : The Casino which is 5 mins away. Though I couldn't go. The second is the 12 hole Golf course.

5/5 Stars! The Santorini of the North with this strictly Blue and White theme. This place is awesome! The best hotel in San Fernando La Union, 2 huge swimming pools, restaurants, big room, feeling of calmness, serenity and most importantly, luxury. They have a small beach though, clean but sometimes when it rains, water will get a little dark and some dry leaves will come ashore, but it's really not a problem though. This place has a casino where there's almost all the time, bands playing and they have ballroom wednesdays! Thunderbird resort la union is a must visit if you go up north. A 40kms drive from Camp John Hay Baguio. 110kms away from Vigan, Ilocos Sur and a 4 Hour drive from Quezon City via slex, sctex, tplex.

Like others, I found the pool very dirty. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was nice. Of note was the Korean bbq next to the casino. The casino buffet was pretty below average but cheap. For about the same price we had alacarte at the Korean bbq and it was delicious. Do not miss that for dinner!

The Santorini of Asia... Greece inspired resort... Will be going back soon... place is relaxing.

We really enjoyed this seaside resort with infinity pools. Its like you are outside the country.

What I loved about this resort are the vilas. Designed to look like the Greek homes but with a modern twist in the interior design. The vilas are fully furnished with 2-3 bedrooms equipped with its own bathroom, a living room, a dining area and a kitchen.

I also liked that that it has pools and a white sand beach. A bit rocky and seaweedy but if you just find the right location you'll be set.

However, I'm guessing that the restaurant is a small since they couldn't accomodate our large family. So we ended up with takeouts from Jollibee. Also you need to book the spa service early since it's always fully booked.

All in all, I still loved the place and would recommend it as a getaway destination for your family or friends or special one.

The resort features a view of the western Philippine sea and Greek-style houses and facilities. Within the resort are suites, a coffee shop, multiple restaurants and several small and medium-sized pools. Around 500 meters from the main resort is a casino. The casino has an entertainment hall, slot machines, poker tables and other amenities. The casino is usually packed in the evenings.

First Class Resort Hotel, Day tour is available for 200php (consumable) in the morning starting @11am, better to visit around 5pm. Expect a pricey tour on this place

Friendly people would love to go back food taste great but a bit of costful but still a relaxing place

First world prices. third world services. No hot water. Come on guys. get your act together. Eagerly awaiting service reovery.

Its good for conference and seminar outside of the office. With a cozy and fair environment.

The view is good, the food is good and new villas are quite nice but what i really dont like about this place is the service. Possibly one of the worst services you can experience. Crews are not attentive, oncr you request a transfer service from the villa to the beach area, it will take atleast an hour for the cab to arrive. Front desk is not accomodating, random charges appearing out of nowhere (rental charge on additional spoon and fork, entrace fees, etc.) Possibly the worst! But if you can disregard this factor, the view is nice, new villas are good and bathrooms have glass roof!

I loved it because its super duper duuuper fun there especially a really great spot when the sunset is already happening. So so many swimming pools. Nice houses, and especially a nice hotel. Nice servings. Thanks for the WiFi inside of every room in the hotel. Everything makes me feel I am in Greece. Love it

It is a very nice place to stay no words can describe specially if you do have your friends and family everything is good. A place a must to visit. Yes it is pricy but it is worth it.

No hot water. Breakfast buffet was awful. Restaurant is mediocre.

One of the best resorts in La Union, comes with a hefty price tag, but its worth every penny. The bar closes early so you might wanna go out and drink elsewhere.

Everything is a fine pleasure, except security procedure sometimes, they are not reachable to clients or should i say, mannagement is using some of clients properties without permision, and without cleaning their own mess,

Instagrable views. Great for group & solo travel. A bit pricey, but you can go for their day tour.

perfect location for a staycation near the beach. IG worthy pools and spots. altjough some of their older rooms need polishing, the place is clean overall and true to its santorini theme.

Giving 4 stars to this supposed 5 star hotel because of mixed feelings about Thunderbird. With such a heft price tag, a guest would expect great food quality and taste. However, what's delivered is sub par overcooked or poorly seasoned food both at the complimentary breakfast buffet and separate restaurant dining experiences. I guess, you come here for the place which has been maintained well even as it has aged. Service here is top notch. Whoever trains and manages the staff deserves a pat on the back.

The place itself is lovely and clean. Tho most of the staff arent smiling at all. Except the staff on the front desk.
Regarding on food in the resto. Its a bit pricey for the quality and taste of the food/dish they serve.
Tho everything else was grand.

We had a great time, but the beach and the pool weren't worth 5 stars.

It was nice to be comfortable with my family... and most of all, it was quiet. It was also nice to have a T Station for kids, and the staff were very friendly. But the food was not good.

I did not like the "Casino" only at the entrance and "Thunderbird" separated! Outside environment, the plants are not maintained!

This resort is beautiful, about 6-8 hours drive from Metro Manila depending on the traffic but it is worth the time. The staff are nice, the buffet breakfast was ok. The room service was good. Our bedroom suite was clean. The memory foam on top of the mattress make sleeping a bit uncomfortable.

Great for bondings! Just like how my family did. So enjoyable and instagramable place. Great for profile pictures and covers. Great experience. Really good for recreation and swimming for everyone.

That Mediterranean feel! This establishment could be more local friendly. Lots of missed opportunities. They need to up their game as they have the structure , location and and population. Beautiful location though. Limited access to seafront as there is barely beach nor sand. Sometimes photos can be deceiving.

Great place overall. Had a nice stay but I don't feel like we got our money's worth. Although if you have the money for it, I think it's one of the better destinations in the province.

Aussies please read, this is a TOTAL rip off, no way known is this 5 star, it's VERY tiered, may have been nice when first opened, but very POOR matenience, weeds growing very where , large weeds so haven't been maintained for many months, forget the beach, full of rocks, mould in the bathroom, the shop was closed , even the some lamps on the post in the entrance were missing! Other than the pool , golf and casino, there's nothing else to do ! At AID $500 for 2 days a TOTAL RIP OFF !!

I love this place. It has lots of great amenities. If you are looking for place to have a photo shoot and just relax at the same time, you may want to try visiting Thunderbird Resort. It's just quite pricey but why not.

Feels like you're not in the PH. The staff are very accommodating and welcoming.

It's sort of a timeshare resirt with lots of guests just exploring and checking out the place. Nice beachfront view but quite expensive. Would rather stay in other resorts which are more guest friendly.
