The HunterGear US

I ordered from The HunterGear US expecting the item to be a disappointment that I’d need to return. I was surprised to be wrong. It works well and is easy to use, so I have no complaints. I expected a toy but got a real tool instead.

Shopping at TheHunterGear US was a solid experience. The binoculars themselves are built well and perform exactly as promised. I’m out on a hill by the lake, roughly 200 yards from the action, and the clarity is excellent. My only gripe is the carrying bag, which was underwhelming. I’m planning to test the IR feature tonight to see how it holds up in low light.

Picked this up from The HunterGear US for a test run in our local park last night. The night vision holds up beautifully up to 100 meters and is perfectly fine out to 150. The focus wheel makes keeping things sharp a breeze. It looks like a 5x digital zoom rather than optical, but that’s honestly not a complaint since the clarity is solid. I shot some footage and photos from just 30 meters away, but the range definitely extends much further. We do a fair bit of dog search and rescue, and while thermal imaging has its place, these IR scopes are exactly what we need. The included memory card is a thoughtful addition, though I would have liked a carrying case included. Highly recommend for the price.

The HunterGear delivered exactly what I needed. I had some doubts after purchasing, but decided to test them on a boat trip with friends. We were out on the water until sunset, and by the time we headed back, it was completely dark within ten minutes. The performance held up well in those low-light conditions.

The HunterGear US really knows how to build reliable gear. I love items that just sit there for years ready to work when I need them, and this light fits that description perfectly. Just add water and a bit of salt, shake it up, and you have a light that lasts for days. If it gets dim, just shake it again. When I’m done, I dump the salty water, rinse it, and let it dry. It holds its charge for five years, and the white LEDs are surprisingly bright. The whole unit stays cool with no fumes, and that 100mA power output is impressive. It’s an essential for camping or power outages.

The HunterGear item is strictly for emergency use rather than primary illumination. Don't expect it to light up a whole room, but it provides adequate backup light when you have nothing else. I noticed the photos suggest salt packets are included, but they aren't; the description clarifies this if you look closely. You do get a paper funnel for refilling, though it feels a bit cheap. Setup was straightforward, and the unit functions perfectly once assembled.

The HunterGear has been a game-changer for my kayaking trips. I grabbed this as a reliable safety backup, and it definitely delivers peace of mind. Knowing I have this gear on board makes me feel much more secure out on the water. Highly recommend!

I was pretty skeptical at first about how The HunterGear US product would actually perform, but this was a case of science in action. You simply measure the salt using the provided guide, add water, and wait a couple of minutes before flipping the red switch. After a brief pause, the three LEDs flicker on. They aren't blindingly bright, but they are clear enough to read the instructions easily. It’s a small but effective chemical reaction. Highly recommended.
