The Triple Door

The menu has changed, very disappointed. We opted to just have desert. The show on the other hand was great, every seat has a great view.

So, this is a very divided review. That is part of the Triple Door is 4-5 Star (the venue and shows), then there is the 1-2 star portion and that is the food. Over the years I have gone to many shows here and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed with the venue and shows. There really are no bad seats, the sound is good. No real complaints regarding the drinks and service, the servers are usually pretty good. Now the sad part, and it has been consistent, unfortunately for years now, the food is uniformly horrible and often cold. I mean really, it has been years and I am not the only one who has mentioned this. Why has management not gotten the message and tried to correct this?

So, the advice I can give is this, go for the shows but definitely eat elsewhere.

Burlesque Nutcracker was a blast. But it is just that..burlesque. Sb 18+. It was Really Fun!
If you area woman size 22 and up, it is hard to get into a booth. Comfortable once in, but difficult to get in and out. Food: good food but it is REALLY SPICY even if it says "with spicy black beans" it actually means the whole dish will burn your face off if you aren't a spice person. But luckily you can actually ask for no heat on most items.
Great atmosphere, not a bad seat in the house. Fairly good service. Very trendy menu, not particularly something for everyone though.

Triple Door is one of my favorite concert venues in the whole city of Seattle: having a dinner from the menu of Wild Ginger while watching with an intimate gathering of a couple hundred people with an amazingly plush set up makes for amazing experiences.

I loved the atmosphere. The bartenders were so patient with my indecisive nature and the appetizers were delicious.

We had an amazing evening at Triple Door, the music was incredible, the food and drink were lovely and everything was well priced! Unfortunately the waiter did forget two of our appetisers and we found it really hard to get their attention throughout the concert, we weren't too bothered as we were filling up on wine and having a nice night, but if you were hungry I can imagine you would be annoyed!

This is a good place to listen to live music and watch grand performances.

Such a great venue as well as a nice place to hang out in the upstairs lounge.

Verlaine-McCann burlesque nutcracker-simply stunning

The cream was great,even if it was relatives of the main group.lots of great Entertainment and service

It's a beautiful theater, food was decent but seating is what makes the place.

Very good music. Lots of tables, but no table service.

Great band "Planet Fly" we had a wonderful time, danced all night.

Nice place to see interesting shows, musical, drag, burlesque and more. Has a bar too with live music upstairs in addition to the theater.

Great venue to see dinner and a show. Food is catered by Wild Ginger and is delicious but a bit pricey. You can also just check out the bar for some awesome cocktails and live music most nights.

Burlesque Nutcracker was amazing but made more amazing by this gorgeous venue. The benches on the three person tables are awkward and painful and I don't recommend sitting there if you have a choice. Other than that, this is a Seattle must visit.

They were out of the drinks we ordered. I always think that the grocery store is open when this happens. Music was loud even with Kleenex in my ears.

An excellent venue, great food (seven flavored beef is lovely) and always fun shows make it a must visit spot.

Great place to hear great live music , we went for the concert of blues -rock band Kim Simmonds and Savoy Brown and truly we think they are fantastic ,great food ,service and price .I highly recommend this place.

Cool venue! Bathrooms were down 2 flights of stairs and it was sweltering hot, but still a neat place.

Went here for Santa con! Super packed but man, we broke it down on the dance floor.

Super cozy, always good music, great bar food. The bartenders make the drinks strong; my wife says their gin martini is the best in town.

Came to see Eric Johnson, was very impressed with the food and wine! The sound was okay but not great (a bit too loud and consequently muddy), and the canned music between the live sets was too loud.

I so love the Triple Door. Great shows, amazing food, outstanding service, and a really classy venue. My go-to place for date night, girls' night out, even large group celebrations, whatever -its always a blast. Easy parking in the lot around the corner or valet for $1 more than self-park. Safe feeling little downtown area right across from Benaroya.

Love the free live music in bar. Great drinks. Friendly staff.

Food is OK, but the setting and view of the stage and musicians is fabulous. Parking is easy. Lots to do nearby.

Loved it! Musicians were great and the food was phenomenal! I was craving a steak after being disappointed by 13 Coins Seattle and got exactly what I was craving and more! Our waiter wasn't the best but everything else was great.

Great venue but the food is overpriced and only ok.

Great sound and ambiance. No-fuss entry - just show your mobile ticket at the host stand. Food is improving. Wait staff milling about the entire performance can be distracting, but that's the biggest drawback to this venue. If an artist you want to see is performing there, definitely go!

Good food and drinks. Fabulous show. Saw the Carpeters (spoof on the Carpenters - but the family owned a carpet store and sang about carpet... to the tune of the Carpenters songs). So much fun!

Went to a burlesque show and it was amazing! Good food, good drinks, all around good time.

Hands down the best venue to watch a performance in Seattle. No contest. Comfortable AND you can order Thai Ginger food for your table. Amazeballs!

The sound quality and ambiance in this place is truly remarkable. I would highly recommend it if you're into dinner shows. No room to dance or anything if you're into that, which may be obvious, but figured it's worth mentioning ;). Can't speak for the food, but everything that came out of the kitchen looked and smelled great. Very friendly staff as well! Highly recommend this spot for seeing singer/songwriter performances

Expensive menu, but great place for a variety of music acts

Love the acts and the food and drinks were good; service was slow but pleasant.

The show was great, the food (duck, beef) was great. Beautiful old venue. Bathrooms down a long flight of stairs. Servers moving around during the show (a piano concert). Seats old, not the most comfortable. I'm torn.

Always visit this venue when in downtown Seattle. Great live acts always...drinks are good...terrible food...or i would give it 5 stars...just don't eat there n you will have a great time.

Almost the only place in Seattle to hear fabulous musicians and have table service and delicious food.

As for an accessible venue, The Triple Door has great parking less than a block away. You can reserve a space online making for less hassle. Drawback is downtown traffic can make the final few blocks a nightmare. Add time so you don't stress and spoil the mood.
Only a few questionable seats in the house. A few have some blocking issues. We've been to 3 events with a party of four and always appreciated the sound quality and the volume.
The dinner menu, although a little thin on variety, has always been pleasureable. Haven't experienced a really excellent entree yet, but neither disappointed. Wait staff has always been excellent.

Great place for concert, food or just hang out for a drink.

Love this place for the gigs. Great sound, good cocktails, great seats. We had dinner the first time we were there and it was mediocre at best. Maybe we got unlucky then, but as a result we have been having dinner elsewhere beforehand and coming for the show and cocktails - works well for us.
