We came for a sunny brunch on the outside decking area and had their halloumi beet special and a batch brew, what a treat! I'll be back :D

STREAT live up to their ethos of tastes good does good in every sense of word.

They have done a wonderful job on both social catch-ups and business functions hosted there.

Care is taken in every single step of their process to produce high quality food (and even coffee pods) and they use the proceeds to give local youths who have nothing else but an inner fire to succeed a fighting chance with their internship program.

Plus they are outstandingly eco friendly!

Great fresh food all day with many vegetarian choices, all beautifully plated and served by friendly helpful staff. The setting is really lovely with indoor and outdoor areas displaying lots of plants which work so well whatever the season. All-day breakfast and lunch offerings mean noone should miss out on something delicious. The coffee is excellent, due to the in-house Roastery. Don't leave without buying some bread, baked onsite & very good too. Streat is a wonderful example of a successful business based on providing training, employment & support for homeless people, whilst aiming at highest quality in everything they do. One of my favourite places which never lets me down.

Asked if I could have vanilla in my latte. The guy said "no, we care too much about our coffee here". Needless to say, I won't be returning.

The menu was very nice and the drinks were great too. Unfortunately they forgot our food order but they gave us some free drinks and croissants once they realised. As nice as any brunch you'll find in Melbourne and for a good cause!!

This is a favourite coffee shop of mine as it is a nice green escape in industrial Collingwood. The brunch meals I have tried are both generous and delicious. To top it all off, the service is attentive and it is a social enterprise doing great work in the community.

Tasty food and excellent service at affordable prices. More than simply a cafe/restaurant it puts a great deal of effort into its community project. They deserve our support & you won't be disappointed.

STREAT catered for our event and was wonderful. We were organising very last minute and they were so flexible. Their food was delicious and I would recommend to anyone.

Cromwell Streat cafe is located in the Cromwell street which is not the main street in the Collingwood area. The location wise is quite hidden and it will be difficult to find it if you are not familiar in this area.

The interior was really well designed, many plants which make it more comfortable to have breakfast and coffee in the morning. The ambience was very comfortable and relax; The music wasn't too loud also the customer service was great and friendly.

Ordered take away coffee from this cafe *mocha for $3.80. The price for a coffee is slightly cheaper than average brunch places. The quality / taste of the coffee was really great, it was a good deal.
We really enjoyed having coffee in this cafe; They were pretty generous to provide free bread tasting in the small cup close to the counter and the bread (sourdough) was fresh.

They offer a loyalty card for coffee lovers, when you have collected 5 stamps, you can claim a free coffee to give it away to community (homeless people) which is great thing to do.

Definitely come back to try the breakfast / lunch.

Awesome atmosphere, has a great outdoor area nested in the industrial area of Collingwood. I felt the brunch/lunch menu better then there breakfest options.

Best eggs on toast I've ever had, and my partner said the same about the almond crossaint. Nice relaxed vibe and love all the plants. Fairly anonymous looking from the street so keep your eyes peeled.

Dropped by for a coffee and was blown away. Amazing place, great coffee and food and everything. Tucked away down a little side street but suprisingly huge, with some amazing spaces for outdoor dining, conferences, everything really. Well worth a look.

Ever wanted to do good while having a great time - go and enjoy the wonderful food and beverages in an great environment. Make sure you try the onsite roasted coffee and their own bread. You can enjoy all this with the knowledge you are supporting a great organisation that is helping young people who need a hand.

I like the relaxing atmosphere and the green plants! Had udon noodles for lunch and it has quite a lot ingredients like meatballs chicken mushroom green beans tofu....Bought an almond croissant and it s very nice. Probably one of the best I ve ever had.

We go here for a r brunch at least once a month. Staff are always lovely, good is always delicious, and the bloody mary is perfect!

I don't usually cross the river, but when a friend visited town and was set on visiting this restaurant/cafe, I couldn't refuse. I am so glad I came here!

Absolutely brilliant food and atmosphere. Came here for lunch and stayed a bit longer enjoying the drinks and atmosphere.
Service was speedy for drinks and a little slower for food (it was quite busy, even on a weekday). Again, worth the wait!

Parking is a bit of a pain (narrow streets, not a lot of availability) but find something and then take a walk. You won't regret it!

Over the top overrated you ask for pouch eggs and they come out to you cold like if they were hard boiled, fooled me once shame on you, fooled me twice shame on me, not going back for third time of being disappointed

Food is okay, tea was very over priced (literally 4 leaves of tea given per glass), and very slow serivice.

Came on a friends recommendation. Did not dissapoint. Great coffee, friendly service, interesting menu and fun breakfast cocktails..... Hot buttered rum!!! Really lovely space, can't wait to come back for lunch!

What a venue and what a place. I had not heard of Streat until Ian Johnson joined our BNI chapter in the CBD. Ian spoke so passionately about where they have come from and what they want to do and I had to get involved. Now I'm a regular at the Collingwood cafe and the RACV cafe. My business has purchased hampers for staff and clients from Streat and all who have been received have been so impressed.
The coffee is world class and the service can not be faulted. I could not recommend this social enterprise highly enough.
Do yourself a favour and go check it out

Nice relaxed ambience, especially good on a warm sunny day. Get a seat outside in the court yard and enjoy the food amidst the plants.

My local regular coffee shop, excellent coffee and lovely dining area.

Food is good but service is very inefficient given the staff to customer ratio. Ordered a chicken baguette and a drink which took longer than expected to arrive given there was no great queue of people ordering before me. Once finished I approached a staff member at a till to pay and was told 'you have to go and line up over there' pointing to a counter where one person was making sandwiches and ignoring the line of customer wanting to pay. When he finally got to me and took the several minutes to figure out where I was sitting I was charged extra because I had dined in. $20 for a sandwich and a drink with slow rude service.

And I'm still hungry.

Coffee was good and the food was good but the service was a bit ordinary. We had to go up to the cash to get their attention so we could order breakfast. They forgot to bring one of the meals over so we had to go up to remind them one was missing, turns out it was just sitting on the counter. We had to go up every time to get more water jugs. When we were fininshed we wanted more drinks and had to go up to get their attention.
It's a lovely location with great potential but maybe today the staff were not on their game. Too social with each other not paying enough attention to the customers.

What a surprise when you enter and find this gigantic place, there is a good vibe here and a comfortable setting. I did think that the food took an age to come but the son in law eggs made up for it. Quite a refreshing take on pouched eggs. Coffee was great too, would rate 4.5 if available.

Good coffee, the tables are a wee bit uncomfortable. I had a dog so I was outside. They may be better inside. I also had a takeaway sausage roll. This was super greasy.

Been there a couple of times, tried different dishes from the menu and they are all very nice and delicious. Best of all wonderful coffee.

I like this place and it has a lot of place for a big company. I would say that the menu trying to be very cool and unusual is missing a lot on the taste side. Their coffees and smoothies are always very good, though!

The interior of this place is absolutely stunning. Very friendly staff and food was amazing. Lots of choices to choose from and of course the coffee is great as well. Would recommend!

I ordered Streat Catering for a work lunch, not only was the food delicious and fresh, the service was fantastic. The team were so helpful, and very quick to respond with my queries. Will definitely be using Streat Catering again!! :)

I visited STREAT having enjoyed their catering before and the restaurant didn't disappoint! The salads were beautifully composed and balanced, and the strawberry prosecco panna cotta verrine for dessert hit the spot perfectly.
