The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center, also known as The Skypac, is a world-class performing arts center located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Created in 2000, SKyPAC Inc. is an agency of Warren County established to oversee the design, building and maintenance of The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center. In turn, SKyPAC Inc. accepted a proposal from The SKyPAC Foundation, formed in 2010, to operate the facility.
The Skypac is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a wide range of performances and events throughout the year. From Broadway shows to classical music concerts and everything in between, there's always something exciting happening at The Skypac.
One of the things that sets The Skypac apart from other performing arts centers is its commitment to education and community outreach. Through its Education & Outreach program, The Skypac provides opportunities for students of all ages to learn about the performing arts and develop their own artistic skills.
In addition to its Education & Outreach program, The Skypac also offers a variety of other programs and services designed to enhance the cultural life of Bowling Green and surrounding communities. These include:
- Art Exhibitions: Throughout the year, The Skypac hosts art exhibitions featuring works by local artists as well as nationally recognized artists.
- Film Screenings: From classic films to contemporary documentaries and independent films, there's always something interesting playing at The Skypac.
- Special Events: Whether it's a gala fundraiser or an intimate concert with a world-renowned artist or performer, you can always count on finding something special happening at The Skypac.
