I had a Homeowners policy with Republic Group for several years. I moved and rented the house out in about 2009, and changed the policy to a Dwelling policy In 2014, I filed a claim for hail damage to the roof, and Republic was AWESOME! I was so pleased with the service. I have no complaints whatsoever. My Claim Representative was Esteban Davila, and he was wonderful. Quick, concise, and very pleasant. I would recommend Republic Group if you are looking for an insurance company for a Homeowner s or a Dwelling policy.
Every time you leave your house, hope and pray that someone with this insurance does not hit you. They do not care about you and will not spend their time dealing with you. Went nearly 3 months without any calls back from them. Finally threatened to get my lawyer involved and they called back almost immediately. This place is a joke and such a waste of time. If I could leave 0 stars instead of 1, I would.
Worst insurance company ever. My BI adjuster Lisa Brown is terrible. She doesn't return phone calls. My attorney has reached out to her on several occasions by different contact methods no response. She offered a pathetic amount for settlement. This is by far the WORST insurance company I have ever encountered. Had to go through my insurance company GEICO for rental car as well. I hope no ever has to encounter this sorry excuse of a company!
I was an independant insurance adjuster for over 12 years. Republic was on of our clients and they are by far the easiest company to work for. After handling hundreds of claims for Republic, I began to realize that this company has the best attitude towards their policy holders of all the companies we handled claims for by far. Their philosophy is to pay claims and they will give the homeowner the benefit of the doubt when there is gray area, which there is alot of times. They seem to understand that a good claims experience = policy retention. So I switched my homeowners and auto insurance to Republic. People have to understand that an insurance contract has provisions that affect payment and coverage. Also, when they decided to buy that cheaper policy guess what, there's a reason it's cheaper. With insurance, it's buyer beware, it's ypur responsibility to know what you are buying not theirs to tell you. But as far as paying claims, Republic is the best. Allstate and State Farm DO NOT pay claims.
Absolutely the WORST insurance policy I've had! They withdraw from my account prior to when I get paid and so I end up paying an extra $80 to my bank. Not only do they do this but they refuse to change the billing date! DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
I used to work for this company and my experience with them was the BEST! They have great people and they CARE! If you had a bad experience, remember, your attitude toward working with your carrier makes a huge difference!!!!
Had three different roofers inspect my roof, after the storm we had here in Kilgore Tx. All said I needed a new roof! Had Republics Adjuster out two different times, two different adjusters, I was declined both times! Numerious trees down, numerious houses damaged by the storm. LOTS of houses getting new roofs, i am not! The adjuster said in his report, both turbines needed replacing, Hail damage! Part of Garage ceiling needs sheetrock replaced, popcorn on ceiling needs to be removed, primed, and painted from leaks, 40 ft of guttering and down spout, needs replacing, hail damage, several shingles needs replacing, loose, etc from wind, but I do not have enough damage to warrant a new roof! If there is Hail damage to metel turbines, metel guttering and down spouts, trying to figure out why my roof has no hail damage! Be AWARE of Republic Group Insurance! I will be filing a BBB complaint!
