Parking was a bit of a inconvenience if you have a emergency and need to leave heading north from the lot...(there was a VIP parking area, so you have options), with that said I enjoyed every other aspect of this small play house..they have snacks and drinks as well as souvenirs. we saw kinky boots btw...and if you haven't seen it, I definitely recommend trying to catch a show

Well I was pleasantly surprised. I had heard about the play house and driven by it many times over the years. Finally friends had decided that tickets would be bought and our group of 7 would go.
It was fantastic. Loved, loved the performance of "KINKY BOOTS". This musical was absolutely amazingly fantastic. You were just swept up into the great singing ,the vocal performances excellent, just excellent. The message in the story line so true. At times your on the verge of crying and then you laughing and then your amazed. I highly recommend this show. I've been to a few plays over the years and believe me their are many that were very good but once was enough and some I wish I had not gone to ,but this performance of KINKY BOOTS I would go and see again, and again, and again . I highly recommend see it if you can . Pictures below.

For my first visit to this iconic playhouse I saw a matinee performance of "An American in Paris" and thoroughly enjoyed the venue - and Broadway-caliber musical.

The Playhouse has 668 seats that are fairly small making for a cozy seating atmosphere. Acoustics are very good. There are outdoor seating areas off the right-stage side.

Highly recommended.

"What a show!". Love this theater and I'm never disappointed!! Professional, entertaining, makes you want to jump up and join in!! We always hit the Ogunquit Playhouse before we head back to the Hudson Valley in NY!! Don't miss seeing the talent at Ogunquit!! You'll love every minute of it!!

I have never been disappointed at the Playhouse. The shows are wonderful. Murder in the Orient Express was particularly entertaining. My only complaint is that the 'handicapped' parking is too far from the playhouse. The VIP parking is much closer. I was dropped off at the door but whent leaving your on your own as far as finding your car, getting to it and it's very difficult to leave the property once you've found your car etc. There should be a parking person to get you to a reasonable spot and someone to direct traffic to help the hundreds of cars out to route one both North or South. There will be a bad accident at some point without these needed people to help every one get out in a safe way!! But it won't stop me from going to as many shows as possible!

Saw Nice Work If You Can Get It. The scenery, costumes, and choreography were very good. The sound was poor. The orchestra was too loud and much of the time drowned out the singers. Some of the singers voices sounded high toned, but it was not the sound system. For a contemporary production much of the show was old formula. The theater is nice, and has updated facilities outside for intermission time.

Serendipity intervined and my aunt and I got the last 2 seats for Kinky Boots that weekend. The Playhouse itself was cozy, historic, and packed. My only complaint- when I got an alcoholic beverage the server didn't tell me I had no choice but to purchase the plastic O.P. reusable cup, with my Capecodder. It ended up costing me about $15 for a drink. Ouch. Otherwise, the show and space, parking... easy.

Wonderful venue to see a musical. We have been to 3 this year. Each one just like being in New York or Boston. However, this venue has plenty of free parking, plenty of bathrooms, easy to get to and refreshments. Stay is friendly and helpful. Great restaurants close by if you choose to eat out before the show.

I was going on vaca and planned in advance to go see Joseph. I bought the most expensive ticket because the person I spoke to said these were great seats. I've been to at least 40 plays. Love them. This is the most I have ever paid. I was on the side but isle seat. Could see perfectly except the speaker was on the wall to the
right of my head. The music and singing was so loud in this very small theatre that
I couldn't understand the words. Sounded like mumble jumble. To top that off the woman in front of me had a gallon of perfume on which made me sick. I got a headache, tasted it on my tongue and my eyes were burning. They should tell people when they buy tickets no smoking within 30 ft of the building and no perfume or cologne. Be curtious to other people. I was going to leave at intermission but my
husband saw two empty seats further back and asked if we could switch. We did. What a difference. I could hear the words they were singing and the smell was gone,. I am upset because for an hour and a half show., I only got to enjoy a half hour of it. I feel I threw away my money and a good night.

Great play House & smart set up..they think far enough ahead to park you and direction to make it easier for you to leave after the show.

I don't think there is a bad seat in the house the view was fantastic. The sets were professionally done I thought I was on Broadway!

So very pleased

Pleasant staff..Just saw Jersey Boys. Great show. Suggest that you order tickets ahead of time. That way you bypass the line and go right in. Get there early for the best parking otherwise bring your hiking shoes.
The only downside is that the seating is pretty tight.
