This place is okay but it looks like its falling apart. The floors in the dorm room are all cracked an falling apart. I think this place could use some serious funding.

I had a wonderful time doing research this past February. There is so much to see on the island, and the station had computers and other tools that we could use for further research. The view from the station is incredible and there are awesome dive/snorkeling sites nearby! Coming from someone who has a hard time digesting processed foods, the amount of white carbs (mostly the bread and pasta) was tough for me. I was disappointed that we didn't get to have any Bahamian food, especially after snorkeling and seeing all the fish they have down there (YUM!) The food we had was tasty and we were always anxiously waiting to get into the caf after a long day of research!

Such a wonderful place. This IS FIELD WORK!! This is not a 5-star resort. You will learn to be around nature and learn to explore the many different sites this island has to offer. It is a great experience and I think any college student should visit at least once if they are considering going into biology.
