This place is full of candy and fudge. In the back they have an ice cream shop with absolutely delicious ice cream!

Totally worth a visit if you re in the area. I m amazed by the volume of candy they were able to fit into this tiny store. You will find candies you love, candies you ve never heard of, and candies you wish you knew of before. There s vintage candies that you can t find in stores. The chocolate ox also has a good variety of saltwater taffy and barrel candies like lemon heads and atomic fireballs that you can purchase by the pound. I really love getting malted milk balls here. In fact, if you can only get one thing, let it be malted milk balls. There is an impressive array of truffles and chocolates for those sophisticated chocolate connoisseurs. Also they have ice cream. A one stop shop for almost any candy you d ever need, and a must go for Nisswa shoppers. Will return.

Great selection of candy, ice cream, fudge and much more, but after being there once or twice there really is nothing else to do there. Most of the time it is really packed there as well so that is another let down.

Nice all around sweet shop with excellent gormet chocolates and I've cream for adults down to an extensive jelly bean and jaw-breaker selection for children. The store has a beautiful north woods theme and is a joy to visit. The shop is located right along the Paul Bunyan trail and is perfect for an ice cream break while biking the trail.

I've been coming here since I was a wee child. So so many fond memories of getting ice cream and running home with sacks full of sugary treats. The staff over the years has always been super friendly and they always seem happy to be there. If you're heading to Nisswa, this is a MUST STOP. Grab some treats, enjoy some ice cream on the patio, and help keep this place alive for many more years to come. :D

GOTTA GO HERE! If you are lucky you can get blueberry cheesecake in a sugar cone, if not, the chocolate peanut butter is a great second choice. Seriously. Go to Nisswa and stop here after the Rafferty's pizza across the street.

Disappointed they weren't selling fudge due to Covid 19 so we decided on a variety of other chocolate goodies. Curious though why they didn't make fudge before store opened and package by the quarter pound?!!!

There used to be one in Crosslake but they make great fudge, have ice cream and some classic candies. This is the only place I am ever able to find necco wafers

A magical place of Willy Wonka proportions. Our kids consistently rank the Chocolate Ox as a highlight of our summer vacation to the Lakes Area. We visit multiple times per week for ice cream, both in Nisswa and their Grand View location, especially on the buy-one-get-one-free evenings.

Great place, has all sorts of the "candy that you used to love but can't find anymore" and others that you just don't see anywhere else, it's almost always busy, but still a great place!

It's kinda a kids dream, all sorts of candy everywhere. It isn't like the big barn place down by Jordan, but for a boutique type candy store it's really good. Still holds some of the North woods charm. Great ice cream selection as well, not tons of options per se but the 16 or so options offer a good variety... And the have licorice chip so that's a bonus in my book

Great deal of chocolate. Was under the assumption that it was all made in house, then sadly found out it isn't true, but still really great chocolate anyway. The ice cream is from Wisconsin that is found around all of Minnesota, They also have a large Jelly Belly selection.
