The cashiers here move slower than a snail trying to pull a Mack Truck uphill. If you choose to shop here, be prepared to stand in line for a very, VERY long time.

I called ahead of time to ask about delivery policies before purchasing over 1200ft. of PVC pipe. I was quoted at $20. Upon arrival, I bought all other necessary items but upon inquiring about delivery, I was told a totally different story....$40 + mileage + only on Mondays. I live on a ranch and had been waiting on a significant amount of rain to start the project. I don't have time to wait on their schedule.So if you intend to have any deliveries...1)you must have an account,2)make sure you have the name of the person you talked to(which I did not see coming)3)delivery is only on Mondays 4) is your gate big enough for them to enter 5)just plan on doing it yourself if you need it done in a timely manner without having to answer a jillion other exceptions that they can make up so they don't have to deliver.
I could have just brought my trailer if I knew there were going to be problems. It meant an extra trip.

A little slow but helpful finding what we needed both Steve's were very helpful in assisting.

If you are looking for a friendly, helpful, knowledgable, locally owned hardware store that has some of everything......look no further than Buttery Hardware in Llano, Texas. You won't be disappointed! A step back in time to the good ole days.

This is a family own company.If you want to get a job here you about have to talk to all four of the family members. There's a big turnaround in the warehouse and the yard because of low pay and over work and the benefits are crappy. The drivers, sales and buyers are treated a lot better then the rest of the employees.If a customer that has credit ever don't pay on time or have a check bounce one time and it doesn't matter how long they been a customer will never get credit again.Ronnie Wisdom in dispatch will lie to customers and the drivers.(He's a back stabber).They don't no how to do inventory,because in sales they will tell a customer they have a product that don't have because in the inventory on the computer it will say they have it or there might be one thing left and 4 customers might want it deliver but only one will get it.I think the Buttery family should stay home and let people know how to run a company to do so.

The staff is always super friendly and helpful. And they have literally EVERYTHING you need! If you know what your looking for, they can tell you if you have it.

Company has a website where they advertise their product but they do not take phone orders or ship the product. False Advertising.

I don't always choose to go but sometimes I just have to. I've been around long enough I kind of know where stuff is.

Excellent prices. Some quant items, like two dollar pocket knives. I don't find the staff very helpful. A few of them have been both helpful and friendly, but most act weird and awkward. But if you're in Llano and just need to grab a few things for a home project, this is the place.

Paint guy seemed upset that i was waiting while he was just talking up a storm making paint jokes. Finally asked me what i wanted, told him the exact paint code and he said he might be able to do it today... 1 gallon... I could have mixed it myself in the 10 minutes he made me stand there listening to his jokes. He was also not mixing it per PPG guidelines.

They will not wait on you unless you are some big buyer.
So go to Hasse's, Hasse's will wait on any and all no matter how big or small the purchase.
I've had it with Buttery's, I shall never go back.
