The Broadway Center is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to preserving the rich cultural history of Broadway Theater. It is our human historical duty to memorialize the legacy of this iconic art form, and The Broadway Center has made it their mission to do just that.
Broadway Theater has been an integral part of American culture for over a century. It has produced some of the most memorable performances in history, from classic musicals like "West Side Story" and "The Sound of Music" to contemporary hits like "Hamilton" and "Dear Evan Hansen." The theater district in New York City is known worldwide as a hub for creativity, talent, and innovation.
However, with time comes change. Many theaters have closed down or been repurposed over the years due to financial difficulties or changing tastes in entertainment. This means that many important pieces of theatrical history have been lost forever.
That's where The Broadway Center comes in. Our organization works tirelessly to preserve artifacts from past productions such as costumes, set pieces, scripts, photographs and other memorabilia related to shows on stage at any given time on broadway.
We also work closely with current productions by providing them with resources they need such as funding opportunities or marketing support so they can continue producing high-quality shows for audiences around the world while keeping their own archives up-to-date.
Our team consists of passionate individuals who are committed not only preserving but also promoting this art form through education programs designed specifically for students interested in pursuing careers within theatre industry including acting classes taught by professional actors themselves!
We believe that everyone should have access to these treasures so we offer free tours throughout our facility which includes exhibits showcasing some rare items from past productions along with interactive displays where visitors can learn more about what goes into creating a successful show on broadway today!
In addition to our preservation efforts we also host events throughout year including workshops led by industry professionals, panel discussions featuring experts in various fields related to theatre and performances by up-and-coming artists.
