Founded in 2010 by a group of passionate artists, The Border Theatre has quickly become one of the most innovative and exciting theatre companies in Texas.
At The Border Theatre, we believe that theatre has the power to transform lives. Through our productions, we aim to challenge our audiences' perceptions and provoke thought about important social issues. We strive to create work that is both entertaining and thought-provoking, using a variety of theatrical techniques including physical theatre, puppetry, music and multimedia.
Our productions are always original works created by our ensemble members. We believe that collaboration is key to creating great art and we work closely together throughout the creative process. One of our most successful productions was "The Wall", which explored issues surrounding immigration and border politics. This production was performed at various venues across Texas including festivals such as FronteraFest in Austin and Out Of Bounds Comedy Festival in Houston.
