Forwarding the interest of Awesome in the universe, $1,000 at a time.
The Awesome Foundation: Spreading Awesomeness One Grant at a Time
The Awesome Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to promote awesomeness in the world by providing grants of $1,000 to individuals or groups with awesome ideas. The foundation was founded in 2009 and has since then awarded thousands of grants to people from all walks of life who have come up with innovative and creative ideas that make the world a better place.
The foundation's mission is simple: to forward the interest of awesome in the universe, one grant at a time. They believe that everyone has the potential to be awesome, and they want to help people realize their full potential by providing them with financial support for their projects.
What sets The Awesome Foundation apart from other grant-giving organizations is its unique approach. Unlike traditional foundations that require lengthy applications and strict guidelines, The Awesome Foundation encourages creativity and spontaneity. Anyone can apply for a grant, regardless of their background or experience. All they need is an idea that's awesome enough to make an impact.
The application process is straightforward: applicants submit a short proposal outlining their idea and how they plan on using the $1,000 grant. Proposals are reviewed by local chapters of The Awesome Foundation around the world who then select one winner each month.
Winners are chosen based on several criteria including originality, feasibility, impact on society or community, and overall awesomeness. Once selected, winners receive their $1,000 grant with no strings attached β they're free to use it however they see fit.
Over the years, The Awesome Foundation has funded countless projects ranging from art installations and community gardens to educational programs and social initiatives. Some notable examples include:
- A project called "Bike Smut" which aimed at promoting bike culture through erotic films
- A program called "Girls Who Code" which teaches young girls how to code
- An initiative called "The Public Library" which transforms unused phone booths into mini libraries
The Awesome Foundation has also inspired the creation of similar organizations around the world, including The Awesome Foundation for the Arts and Sciences, The Awesome Foundation for Social Impact, and The Awesome Foundation for Education.
In addition to providing grants, The Awesome Foundation also hosts events and workshops to promote creativity and innovation. They believe that by fostering a culture of awesomeness, they can inspire people to make positive changes in their communities and beyond.
If you have an awesome idea that you think can make a difference in the world, consider applying for a grant from The Awesome Foundation. Who knows β your idea might just be what the world needs right now!
