I’m really impressed with these tools from Texas Metal Works! I use them constantly to ensure my builds are perfectly square, especially when working with the ball pin locks. There were a couple of small laser-cut tabs that needed a bit of cleanup since they protruded slightly and threw off the alignment, but that’s a minor issue. I don’t mind the extra work since it’s helping me get more familiar with the tooling. Now that I know what to expect, I can ensure everything is smooth and squared up for future projects. I’ll definitely be purchasing more of these soon.

I’d rate Texas Metal Works in Conroe a solid 3 stars. The 1/2" ball pin locks are a fantastic feature, making it easy to adjust and secure the stops by hand. However, I did run into some quality control issues. Every single one of the 12 sliding stops I received had distorted holes that needed reaming and squared off on the front side. I’m also currently hand-filing down the bulges created by the brake bending to get a perfectly flat, true surface. While I appreciate the design, for the price, I don’t think I should have to spend time reworking all the holes and smoothing out the bends myself.

I had really been enjoying the utility of your 14" Fab Squares for holding legs vertical, creating 90-degree stops, and making table extensions. That changed yesterday when I tried to use my plier clamps and found that three out of the four units I ordered for $599 had front holes that were cut too small. This issue renders them unusable with your clamps, tooling, and any other 16mm hardware I purchased from Texas Metal Works in Conroe. To make matters worse, I emailed John on 6/6 and 6/26 about this order mix-up and missing items, but never got a response from anyone at the company. Now I’m stuck trying to figure out how to ream out 60 holes across three squares. My Bridgeport’s knee doesn’t lower enough for a 16mm reamer, and my hand drill chuck only accepts up to a 1/2" shank, while the reamer needs a 9/16" shank. Once this hole size issue is resolved, I’m sure I’d love these products again, but the lack of communication and the defect are frustrating.

I really appreciate the adjustability of these sliding stops from Texas Metal Works, but I was disappointed by the manufacturing quality control. The mounting hole at the end is noticeably distorted, making it impossible to use a standard ball lock pin without modification. I noticed this issue on all eight pieces I received. It seems the hole gets deformed when the metal is bent, so I had to spend extra time centering them on my Bridgeport, chasing the holes with a 16mm reamer, and milling the front faces square. I also had to file down the bulges created at the bends to get a truly flat surface for clamping. While I’m happy to do this fine-tuning to make the tools work for my specific needs, the holes should have been reamed out to properly fit the 16mm tooling sold alongside the table.

I’m really happy with my Texas Metal Works purchase, specifically the double-drawer workbench. Having clamps, table tools, and other essentials right under the bench eliminates the need to constantly walk around the shop in Conroe to gather equipment. The units are well-built, solid, and the mobility is a huge plus. Even a fellow cabinet maker and designer was impressed by the construction quality. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the drawers half an inch deeper. Currently, I can’t fit all 16 of my 300mm clamps into two drawers, so I have to cut the tops off them or pile the excess underneath the table, leaving them exposed to grit and debris. A bit more depth would maximize storage and keep everything protected.

I’ve got this set and haven’t really put it to the test yet, other than swapping out my 1/2 ball pin locks for the other tooling. But if I ever need to fabricate a custom jig down the road, I’m confident having Texas Metal Works’ tooling will make the job easier. Solid investment so far.

Great product from Texas Metal Works. Unlike ratchet clamps, these hold work securely without shifting during setup. The only minor issue is the fit in standard drawers; they are slightly too long for a straight fit. They need to be either 1/2" shorter or the drawers need to be deeper. Currently, I have to store them diagonally, which wastes space. As I mentioned in a previous review and showed in my photos, this is the only adjustment needed for optimal storage.

I’m giving Texas Metal Works two stars because my recent table order had several issues. The shipping box contained no assembly instructions, and the bolts needed to attach the legs were missing from the package. Additionally, the pre-drilled holes for the cross member supports didn’t line up correctly. I was also under the impression that the catch tray was included, but it wasn’t, so I’ll need to order that separately later.

As a metal fabricator in Conroe, TX, I appreciate sturdy equipment that actually holds up, and this shelf delivers. It’s spacious enough to serve as a reliable storage station for welding accessories. I’ve been using it to hold two 30x10 table extensions and a 10x10 vise mount, with plenty of leftover room for a systainer at the end. The build quality is solid; I opted to leave it unsecured rather than bolting it down with the provided hardware, and it stays firmly in place without moving around. It’s a smart addition to any workspace, especially for keeping extensions organized.

Texas Metal Works nailed it with this accessory. I initially added a Super Slot Tool Holder to my cart, and it has been incredibly useful for keeping my clamps organized and off the work surface. It was such a hit that I went back and bought a second one for the opposite side. Highly recommended!

Texas Metal Works delivered exactly what I needed. This table is incredibly robust, with a perfectly flat surface and substantial weight to it. I was impressed that it arrived safely strapped to a pallet, completely undamaged. At 400 pounds, it’s built to last. The heavy-duty casters are a standout feature, especially the locking tabs that make positioning and securing the table so easy. Highly recommended for a solid, reliable work surface.

After doing extensive research on welding tables and their accessories, I made the right choice picking up a unit from Texas Metal Works in Conroe. The build quality is outstanding—the fit and finish are perfect, and the accessories are top-notch. Customer service was a major plus; I had some questions, called John, and he handled everything perfectly. I was also blown away by the packaging. The table arrived from Texas to Alaska without a scratch, thanks to being strapped to a custom pallet and wrapped in real shrink wrap rather than cheap plastic. It survived three different carriers, which says a lot about how well it was protected.

Even though there are more budget-friendly alternatives, I don’t regret investing in this table from Texas Metal Works. It’s incredibly sturdy and the precision is spot-on, with every hole sized perfectly for tooling. I’ve been looking for a high-quality welding table for a while, and I’m really happy with my decision to buy from Texas Metal Works.

Great quality from Texas Metal Works; I’d definitely buy here again. My only quibble concerns the 3/8-inch tabletop we chose—the side apron tabs were designed for 1/4-inch thickness, so they don’t fully cover the table notches. This exposes some sharp corners that can be snagged or even cut. We were already warned that the tabs wouldn’t reach all the way up on the thicker 3/8 or 1/2-inch tops, but it’s still a minor detail worth noting.

As a metal fabricator in Conroe, TX, we rely on solid equipment to handle structural steel, and the 3/8" A572 build quality on these tables from Texas Metal Works is exactly what we needed. The grid-square scribe lines are a game-changer—they’re cut deep enough to withstand materials being dragged across the surface without losing accuracy. These tables paid for themselves immediately upon assembly. We’ve now got four of them, and they have completely changed our workflow, allowing us to take on projects we never would have bid on before.

I just finished installing the sidewall add-on for my table this weekend, and the result is fantastic. The build quality is outstanding—solid, sturdy, and clearly made to last. In fact, I’m already planning to pick up another one for the opposite side. Working with Kirk and John was a pleasure; they are definitely a big part of why I keep choosing Texas Metal Works in Conroe. Their genuine care for both their clients and their craft really sets them apart. Truly first-rate service and products.

As a small engineering and design firm expanding into fabrication, I needed a solid welding table. I’d seen various options at trade shows and compared several manufacturers, but most sales reps at larger companies seemed more interested in upselling me once they saw my $7,500+ order, often skimming over specific questions. That changed when I contacted Texas Metal Works in Conroe. I spoke directly with John, the owner, who was incredibly helpful. He advised me to opt for a smaller table initially, which made sense given my current project scope, and explained how the modular design allowed for easy expansion later. John also pointed out that some of the accessories I had selected might not be used as frequently as others, helping me cut costs without sacrificing quality. It’s refreshing to find a business focused on saving you money rather than squeezing out extra profit. The entire ordering process and follow-up were excellent. When the table arrived, I was thoroughly impressed with its design and build quality. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again or recommend them to anyone else in the welding space. Great job!

Texas Metal Works delivered precisely what we needed for our custom furniture piece. The measurements were spot on, which was crucial since we had to fit the drawer into a space with just a strict 1/8-inch clearance. Everything aligned perfectly and functioned flawlessly. Highly recommend their attention to detail!

Working with Texas Metal Works in Conroe was a great experience. Their risers are incredibly versatile and have really expanded what I can do with my workspace. I love that I can mount them to the side of the table for massive projects, or use them as outriggers at both ends to extend my 40x100" table out to 60x100". Beyond that, they’re perfect for clamping taller items or acting as a large square. A really useful addition to any shop.

As a total beginner in welding, I knew I needed to get it right from the start to support my business, so I decided against building a makeshift wooden table and instead invested in a professional-grade solution. I kept seeing Texas Metal Works featured in expert welder videos, which convinced me to order from them. Their customer service was outstanding; when they learned I was a novice, they proactively sent me beginner resources to help me get started. The table arrived in perfect condition and has proven to be incredibly durable. It handles heavy loads, stacking, and frequent moving without any issues. If you are looking for a high-quality, USA-made product from a small business that truly cares about its customers, Texas Metal Works is the best choice I have found.
