Terramera: Unlocking the Power of Nature for Sustainable Agriculture

Terramera is a Vancouver-based sustainable agriculture cleantech company that is revolutionizing the way we grow food. The name Terramera, which means "Our Earth," reflects the company's commitment to using technology to unlock the power in nature so we can live healthy, make clean food affordable and feed the world.

Founded in 2010 by Karn Manhas, Terramera has developed a range of innovative solutions that combine green chemistry, machine learning and AI technologies to improve crop yields, reduce pesticide use and promote soil health. The company's flagship product is Actigate™ Targeted Performance Technology (TPT), a proprietary platform that enhances the efficacy of natural plant-based ingredients by delivering them directly to targeted sites within plants.

Actigate™ TPT has been shown to increase crop yields by up to 30%, while reducing pesticide use by up to 90%. This breakthrough technology has earned Terramera numerous awards and accolades, including being named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2020.

In addition to Actigate™ TPT, Terramera offers a range of other products and services designed to promote sustainable agriculture. These include:

- Replacements for synthetic pesticides: Terramera has developed natural alternatives to synthetic pesticides that are just as effective at controlling pests without harming beneficial insects or pollinators.

- Soil health solutions: By promoting soil health through regenerative farming practices and biofertilizers, Terramera helps farmers improve their yields while reducing their environmental impact.

- Precision farming tools: Using machine learning algorithms and AI-powered sensors, Terramera helps farmers optimize their irrigation schedules and fertilizer applications for maximum efficiency.

But it's not just about developing new technologies – it's also about educating farmers on how best to use them. That's why Terramera offers training programs on sustainable agriculture practices that help farmers reduce their environmental footprint while improving their bottom line.

Terramera is committed not only to sustainability but also social responsibility. The company partners with local communities around the world where its products are used, providing education on sustainable farming practices as well as job opportunities.
