TEDxIdahoFalls: Spreading Ideas and Inspiring Change
TEDxIdahoFalls is a local, self-organized event that brings together people from all walks of life to share ideas worth spreading. The event is inspired by the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conferences that have been held around the world since 1984. TEDxIdahoFalls is an independently organized event that follows the same format as TED conferences but focuses on local issues and ideas.
The goal of TEDxIdahoFalls is to inspire change in our community by sharing innovative ideas and perspectives. The event features a diverse range of speakers who are experts in their fields or have unique experiences to share. Each speaker has 18 minutes or less to present their idea in a compelling way that engages the audience.
TEDxIdahoFalls was first held in 2013 and has since become an annual tradition for many people in Idaho Falls and surrounding areas. The event attracts attendees from all over Idaho as well as neighboring states such as Utah, Wyoming, and Montana.
One of the unique aspects of TEDxIdahoFalls is its focus on local issues. Many of the speakers are from Idaho Falls or nearby communities, which allows them to speak directly about issues affecting our region. This creates a sense of community among attendees who may not have realized they shared common concerns before attending the event.
Another important aspect of TEDxIdahoFalls is its commitment to diversity and inclusivity. The organizers strive to ensure that speakers represent a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. This helps create an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.
In addition to live events, TEDxIdahoFalls also offers online resources for those who cannot attend in person. Videos of past talks are available on their website along with other resources such as blog posts about topics related to innovation and creativity.
Overall, TEDxIdahoFalls is an important part of the Idaho Falls community. It provides a platform for sharing ideas and inspiring change in our region. Whether you are a student, professional, or simply someone who is passionate about learning and growth, TEDxIdahoFalls has something to offer. So why not join us at the next event and see what ideas you can help spread?
