Springfield public schools #19

Ever since Bart Simpson and Lisa Simpson graduated it has been pretty boring, all though Ralph and Nelson are still here which makes it pretty okay but nothing too crazy, we really do miss our own El Barto, he was a true legend

Very poorly rated. It's scary how poorly rated some schools are. Virtual learning is a joke. No actual classes, no one is teaching, just "here's the link, here's the assignment, good luck". They wait until the last possible minute to announce school closings due to inclement weather. It's a hot mess. No innovation, no creativity, no sparc. Just...meh.

very bad and blocks everything and you can't seem to do anything sinse it's just dumb

It is an okay school systetm but , they do not close the schools when they need to. For example around 1 week ago my mom went outside and started driving, I was almost headed out the door to my bus stop, then my dad frantically stopped me and told me that my mom had called him saying that ALL the roads were COVERED in ICE! Even on the main roads. I go to Hickory hills and my bus route goes on tiny little farm roads that are very winedy. So yeah (this actually happened 3 times !!!)
I asked my other friends that rode that bus (7014) they said they were slipping and sliding! (That happened to me once when it started SNOWING and they didn't close!)

Only because you have to give a star.This school district is the worst I've had no problems with ozark or ash grove schools but springfield schools as these virtual teachers talking to our kids literally making our kids cry and treating them foul amd you call the school and welt theres nothing they can do.That virtual teacher melissa that is my daughters home room virtual teacher is a joke.3 days now shes made my daughter feel like a burden to ask a question and snappy at her and is the opposite of what a teacher should be.

As a parent and Springfield tax payer, I am disgusted on how our students with developmental delays are being discriminated against if they are virtual students. You have to follow a strict channel of command. Our New Superintendents is 100% "off limits" and Kelly the reseptionist makes it clear she has to follow the "no contact" to keep her job. There is a problem solver but she does not work with students with IEPs. If you want to attend a board meeting you have to sign up and they limit it to 10. The special education department is under staffed and teachers complain to students about their job.

My wife got hired we lived out of state so we moved so she could start the job but when we got here the school did not give her all the information that she needed so they said she was not going to be hired when it s was their fault and they were not willing to work with her to possibly do something else until she could do the paperwork they needed this is not good business.

They might have degrees for education but it's very clear that common sense is not a requirement. Took days to address the issue of my son being spit on and called multiple racial slurs but was forced to come pick up his crutches because he had a doctors note and not a prescription. Way to go on setting the bar as low as possible Mark Twain Elementary.
