Sonescence is a pharmaceutical company that focuses on optimizing the delivery of anti-biotics for chronic wound infections.
It uses a novel, ultrasound augmented drug-delivery platform, to create transformative solutions for various molecules, where a shift from IV to Sub-Q administration offers tailored, local delivery of drug payloads without systemic side-effects. The company targets characterized molecules and therapeutics that are typically delivered intravenously, and marry them to a proprietary Ultrasonic Drug Delivery (UDD) platform, previously approved by the FDA for alternate use. This allows focused, active, subcutaneous infusion directly to the local infection, with uniquely high drug concentration levels, but lower overall systemic doses.
