A few months ago Socius completed and launched a new website design and complex back end portal used to provide gated content to a specific set of website visitors. I am very pleased with the final website including three specific areas 1) Visual Appeal: Socius spent time getting to know and understand our brand so they could integrate best practices with what we wanted. They were also willing to take feedback from our team and make adjustments to better represent who we are online. 2) Ownership: Our organization and the members within it are often recognized as leaders in our field, we are a growing organization, and we stay current within our professional field and within the community. This requires frequent updates to the website for everything from images, to logo's, to content. Socius built the website in a manner where it is very easy for me (someone with no coding or graphics experience) to make these changes as often as necessary. It is good to not have to call a web developer to make simple changes, it's great to not have to call them for intermediate or what could be on some websites complex changes. 3) Process: The process was very organized and I was made aware of all deadlines and requirements they needed from me to stay on schedule. Ultimately it took a bit longer for us to put collateral together, and we went through a few rounds of revisions to get the look we wanted. However it was well worth the extra time needed to get it right.

Since launch we have had a few requests and updates which Socius has been attentive to. I would recommend this agency to those committed to a higher standard of quality and a vision for the future of their organization.

So, how do you choose a good internet/social media/search engine marketing company?

Hmmm, honestly, I have no (expletive deleted) idea I m sure of this because Socius Marketing was my third try.
Staying polite my first two marketers did not work out again, I m being polite.
All I can tell you is that Socius worked.

Why or what is different? Well

First, they listened. Our company is a coating company, paints and such, but it s high end stuff, unique products for difficult jobs. When other companies represented us, they did not take the time or interest to understand our uniqueness. Their failure to listen showed in their work and in the end, in our sales. They couldn t help steer customers to our website.

Second, when I ask for changes or different approaches to an issue or text, I don t need to get into a spat. In fact, we have had several meetings with writers where we brainstorm and share ideas. I don t always have to go through a rep or account manager who then attempts to translate my thoughts and ideas to a writing team.

Third my rep/account manager is great communicative talented and smart.

Fourth, I get calls from them saying Hey, did you ever think of . or I was thinking about your company last night and it occurred to me that . So,
they are thinking of me!?!?! And not about what they can sell me or if my latest bill is paid? That s a huge improvement over prior marketers.

What else? Oh yeah, English! I wouldn t care if writer from anywhere in the world thinks and ponders and writes for us . Heck, the varying cultural backgrounds could help, BUT, in the end, I want an English first language writer to edit the text.

Guess I should mention that sales are rising

Oh, and they put up with my ignorance about their industry, especially social media you see I m a baby boomer need I say more?

We started communicating with Socius back in late 2014 as our website was basically ineffective. We knew a revamp was long overdue but selecting the right company would not be an easy decision.
